Method and apparatus for producing a plurality of sheets of material containing alkaloids

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the production of a plurality of sheets of a material containing alkaloids, the method including the steps of: providing a slurry including a material containing alkaloids and water in a tank; providing the tank with a plurality of outlets; supplying slurry from the outlets on a movable support so as to form a plurality of parallel sheets of material containing alkaloids; and keeping the parallel sheets of material containing alkaloids separated on the movable support while moving the movable support. The invention also relates to an apparatus for the production of a plurality of sheets of a material containing alkaloids.

1 . A method for production of a plurality of sheets of a material containing alkaloids, the method including the steps of:
 providing a slurry including a material containing alkaloids and water in a tank;   providing the tank with a plurality of outlets;   supplying slurry from the outlets on a movable support so as to form a plurality of parallel sheets of material containing alkaloids; and   keeping the parallel sheets of material containing alkaloids separated on the movable support while moving the movable support.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , further including the step of drying the parallel sheets of material containing alkaloids simultaneously. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the step of supplying slurry from the outlets on a movable support includes spraying or ejecting the slurry onto the movable support. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1 , further including the step of regulating a pressure or flow rate of the slurry supplied from each outlet of the plurality independently. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 4 , further including the step of changing the pressure of the slurry supplied from each outlet of the plurality on the basis of the flow rate of the slurry supplied from the same outlet. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 1 , further including the step of stirring the slurry in the tank. 
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 1 , further including the step of heating the slurry at one or more outlets of the plurality or inside the tank. 
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 1 , further including the steps of orienting a flow of slurry supplied from one or more of the outlets of the plurality with respect to the movable support. 
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the movable support is a single belt conveyor. 
     
     
         10 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the movable support includes a plurality of separators positioned parallel to a transport direction.
