Abstract

A system for connecting the terrace boards to each other and to the base on which the terrace is placed comprises a support board (2), a connector (4) and a fastening element (5). The support board (2) has open recesses (3a, 3b) formed between the converging side walls (2a) transverse to their common edge (2a′), and the connector (4) is in the form of a mushroom containing a head (4a), a leg (4b) and a through hole (4c) for the fastening element (5). The support board (2) is fixed to the bottom surface of the terrace board (1), the head (4a) of the connector (4) is situated in a socket (3) formed by the recesses (3a, 3b) of the adjacent support boards (2), and the leg (4b) of the connector (4) is positioned in a gap(s) between the corners of the adjacent support boards (2), the terrace boards (1) being fixed to the base by the fastening element (5) positioned in the opening (4c) of the connector (4).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A system for connecting terrace boards to each other and to a base on which the terrace is placed, where the top surface of the terrace boards forms the usable surface of the terrace, with the terrace boards arranged at a preset distance from each other, characterised in that it comprises a support board ( 2 ), a connector ( 4 ) and a fastening element ( 5 ), whereby said support board ( 2 ) has open recesses ( 3 a , 3 b ) formed between converging side walls ( 2 a ) transverse to their common edge ( 2 a ′), the connector ( 4 ) is in the form of a mushroom containing a head ( 4 a ), a leg ( 4 b ) and a through hole ( 4 c ) passing through said head ( 4 a ) and leg ( 4 b ), and on the wall of said hole ( 4 c ) of the leg ( 4 b ) a support shelf ( 4 c ′) is formed, wherein the support boards ( 2 ) are attached to the bottom surface of the terrace boards ( 1 ) and laid on the terrace base at a pre-determined distance from one another such that the aforementioned recesses ( 3 a , 3 b ) of the adjacent support boards ( 2 ) form a socket ( 3 ) in which the head ( 4 a ) of the connector ( 4 ) is placed and the leg ( 4 b ) of the connector ( 4 ) is positioned between the adjacent support boards ( 2 ) and the fastening element ( 5 ) is positioned in the hole ( 4 c ) of the connector ( 4 ) and rests with one end against the support shelf ( 4 c ′) in the hole ( 4 c ) and with the other end is detachably fastened to the base on which the terrace is placed, whereas the recesses ( 3 a , 3 b ) are shaped in such a way that the connector ( 4 ) in the free position can be moved in the socket ( 3 ) along the gaps(s) between the side walls of the adjacent support boards ( 2 ) to a position where the head ( 4 a ) of the connector ( 4 ) leaves the recess ( 3 a , 3 b ) of the socket ( 3 ) of the respective adjacent support boards ( 2 ).

2 . The system according to claim 1 , characterised by the fact that the support board ( 2 ) is openwork.

3 . The system according to claim 1 , characterised in that the gap(s) between the walls of the adjacent support boards ( 2 ) of the terrace is greater than or equal to the distance (s′) between the respective terrace boards ( 1 ).

4 . The system according to claim 1 , characterised by the fact that the recesses ( 3 a ) are formed on the upper surface of the support board ( 2 ).

5 . The system according to claim 1 , characterised in that the recesses ( 3 b ) are formed between the upper and lower surfaces of the support board ( 2 ).

6 . The system according to claim 1 , characterised in that the fastening element ( 5 ) has a length (n) not greater than the height (h) of the connector ( 4 ).
