Abstract
A squeegee device (11) includes: a squeegee (12), which includes a body (22) on which a blade (21) is mounted; a holder (13), which extends in a left-right direction and holds the squeegee; and a movable member (30), which is movably supported on the holder. The movable member has a manipulatable part (32) and an engaging part (34), which engages with an engaged part (29) provided on the body. One manipulatable part (32) is disposed at the central portion of the holder in the left-right direction.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A squeegee device, comprising:
a squeegee, which includes a body on which a blade is mounted; a holder, which extends in a left-right direction and holds the squeegee; and a movable member, which is movably supported in or on the holder, wherein: the movable member has a manipulatable part and an engaging part configured to engage with an engaged part provided on the body; and the manipulatable part is disposed at a central portion of the holder in the left-right direction.
2 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a first biasing member, which biases the movable member in a direction that causes the engaging part to engage with the engaged part.
3 . The squeegee device according to claim 2 , wherein:
the manipulatable part is disposed rearward of the engaged part; the first biasing member biases the movable member frontward; and engagement of the engaged part and the engaging part is releasable by moving the manipulatable part rearward.
4 . The squeegee device according to claim 3 , wherein:
the first biasing member includes a coil spring; the movable member has an accommodating recess, which is upwardly concave from a lower surface of the movable member; the holder has a rib, which is disposed inside the accommodating recess; a rear end of the first biasing member contacts the rib; and a front end of the first biasing member contacts an inner surface of the accommodating recess.
5 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a second biasing member, which biases the squeegee in a direction that causes the squeegee to separate from the holder.
6 . The squeegee device according to claim 5 , wherein:
at least a portion of the squeegee is disposed lower than the holder; and the second biasing member biases the squeegee downward.
7 . The squeegee device according to claim 6 , wherein a plurality of the second biasing members are disposed in a left-right direction.
8 . The squeegee device according to claim 6 , wherein:
the second biasing member includes a coil spring; the squeegee has a rod, which has a small diameter part onto which the second biasing member is fitted, and a large diameter part, which is disposed lower than the small diameter part; a lower end of the second biasing member contacts a support surface at a boundary between a lower end of the small diameter part and an upper end of the large diameter part; and an upper end of the second biasing member contacts the holder.
9 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the engaging part has a first hook shape; and the engaged part has a second hook shape that is engageable with the first hook shape in an interference fit manner.
10 . The squeegee device according to claim 9 , wherein a plurality of each of the engaging parts and the engaged parts are arranged in the left-right direction.
11 . The squeegee device according to claim 10 , wherein:
a suction flow path is defined through the body; and the engaging parts and the engaged parts are respectively disposed on opposite sides, in the left-right direction, of the suction flow path.
12 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein the manipulatable part protrudes upward from an upper surface of the holder.
13 . The squeegee device according to claim 12 , wherein the holder has a guide opening configured to guide the manipulatable part in a front-rear direction.
14 . The squeegee device according to claim 12 , wherein:
two engaging parts are disposed in the left-right direction; and the manipulatable part is disposed between the two engaging parts in the left-right direction.
15 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a first biasing member, which biases the movable member in a first direction that causes the engaging part to engage with the engaged part; and a second biasing member, which biases the squeegee in a second direction that causes the squeegee to separate from the holder; wherein movement of the squeegee toward the holder against the biasing force of the second biasing member causes the engaging part to engage with the engaged part and thereby detachably fasten the squeegee to the holder.
16 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a first biasing member, which biases the movable member in a first direction that causes the engaging part to engage with the engaged part; and a second biasing member, which biases the squeegee in a second direction that causes the squeegee to separate from the holder; wherein movement of the manipulatable part against the biasing force of the first biasing member causes the engaging part to disengage from the engaged part, such that the squeegee becomes separable from the holder.
17 . The squeegee device according to claim 3 , wherein:
the movable member has two of the engaging parts; the body has two of the engaged parts; the engaging parts each have a first hook shape; the engaged parts each have a second hook shape that is engageable with the first hook shape in an interference fit manner; a suction flow path is defined through the body; and the two engaging parts and the two engaged parts are respectively disposed on opposite sides, in the left-right direction, of the suction flow path.
18 . The squeegee device according to claim 17 , further comprising:
two second biasing members that bias the squeegee downward to cause the squeegee to separate from the holder; and two rods protruding upwardly from an upper surface of the body; wherein: each of the two rods has a small diameter part around which one of the second biasing members is fitted, a large diameter part, which is disposed lower than the small diameter part, and a support surface at a boundary between a lower end of the small diameter part and an upper end of the large diameter part, a lower end of the second biasing member being supported on the support surface; and an upper end of each of the second biasing members contacts the holder.
19 . A floor cleaner, comprising:
a brush supported by a base member and configured to be rotatable driven by an electric motor, a liquid supply tank configured to supply a liquid to underneath the base member, and the squeegee device according to claim 1 mounted on the base member such that the blade is contactable with a surface to be cleaned.
20 . The floor cleaner according to claim 19 , further comprising:
a suction port defined in the body; a suction motor in fluid communication with the suction port; and a collection tank configured to hold liquid suctioned from the surface.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
