Abstract
A squeegee device ( 11 ) includes a squeegee ( 12 ) and a holder ( 13 ), which extends in a left-right direction and which holds the squeegee. The squeegee has a blade ( 21 ), a body ( 22 ) on which the blade is mounted, and a plate ( 23 ), which traps (holds, fixes, sandwiches, presses) the blade against the body.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A squeegee device, comprising:
a squeegee; and a holder, which extends in a left-right direction and holds the squeegee, wherein: the squeegee has:
a first blade;
a body, on which the first blade is mounted; and
a first plate, which traps the first blade against the body.
2 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the first plate traps the first blade against a front surface of the body; and a second plate traps a second blade against a rear surface of the body.
3 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the body has a protrusion, which protrudes from a first surface that faces the first blade; the first blade has a blade opening in which at least a portion of the protrusion is disposed; and the first plate has a plate recess in which at least a portion of the protrusion is disposed.
4 . The squeegee device according to claim 3 , wherein:
the protrusion has a protrusion recess, which is recessed downward from an upper surface of the protrusion, and a large diameter part, which is disposed between the first surface and the protrusion recess; the large diameter part is disposed in the blade opening; and the plate recess is fitted onto the protrusion recess from above the protrusion.
5 . The squeegee device according to claim 3 , wherein:
in a state in which the protrusion has been disposed in the blade opening and in the plate recess, an upper end surface of the body and an upper end surface of the first plate are disposed in the same plane.
6 . The squeegee device according to claim 5 , wherein:
in a state in which the protrusion has been disposed in the blade opening and in the plate recess, a lower end of the first blade is disposed lower than a lower end of the body and a lower end of the first plate.
7 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the body has a plurality of first protrusions provided spaced apart in the left-right direction, the first protrusions protruding from a first surface of the body that faces the first blade; and the first blade has a plurality of first blade openings and a plurality of first plate recesses that are disposed spaced apart in the left-right direction so that the first protrusions are respectively disposed in the first blade openings and in the first plate recesses.
8 . The squeegee device according to claim 4 , wherein:
in the left-right direction, a dimension of the blade opening is smaller than a dimension of the plate recess.
9 . The squeegee device according to claim 4 , wherein:
in an up-down direction, a dimension of the blade opening is greater than a dimension of the plate recess.
10 . The squeegee device according to claim 7 , wherein:
the first surface is a front surface of the body; and the body has a plurality of second protrusions that protrude from a rear surface of the body.
11 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the first blade is made from an elastomeric material; and the first plate is made from a polymer or a metal.
12 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein the body has a suction port.
13 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein the holder has a holder recess into which the squeegee is insertable from below.
14 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein the holder has first and second holder recesses respectively disposed at first and second ends of the holder in the left-right direction, the squeegee being insertable from below into the first and second holder recesses.
15 . The squeegee device according to claim 1 , wherein:
the body has a protrusion, which protrudes from a first surface that faces the first blade; the first blade has a blade opening in which at least a portion of the protrusion is disposed; the first plate has a plate recess in which at least a portion of the protrusion is disposed; the protrusion has a protrusion recess, which is recessed downward from an upper surface of the protrusion, and a large diameter part, which is disposed between the first surface and the protrusion recess; and in a state in which the large diameter part of the protrusion is disposed in the blade opening and the plate recess is fitted onto the protrusion recess from above the protrusion, the first blade is trapped between the first plate and the body.
16 . The squeegee device according to claim 15 , further comprising:
a movable member, which is movably supported on the holder and has an engaging part configured to engage an engaged part provided on the body; a first biasing member, which biases the movable member in a direction that causes the engaging part to engage with the engaged part; and a second biasing member, which biases the squeegee in a direction that causes the squeegee to separate from the holder, wherein the engaging part is configured to engage the engaged part by moving the squeegee toward the holder against the biasing force of the second biasing member, so as to fasten the squeegee to the holder.
17 . The squeegee device according to claim 10 , wherein:
the first plate traps the first blade against the front surface of the body; a second plate traps a second blade against the rear surface of the body; the second protrusions of the body are respectively disposed in second blade openings defined in the second blade and in second plate recesses defined in the second plate; in the left-right direction, the first and second blade openings are shorter than the first and second plate recesses; in an up-down direction, the first and second blade openings are longer than the first and second plate recesses; the first and second blades are made from an elastomeric material; the first and second plates are made from a polymer or a metal; a suction port is defined in the body; and the holder has first and second holder recesses respectively disposed at first and second ends of the holder in the left-right direction, the squeegee being insertable from below into the first and second holder recesses.
18 . The squeegee device according to claim 17 , further comprising:
a movable member, which is movably supported on the holder and has two engaging parts configured to respectively engage two engaged parts defined on the body; a first biasing member, which biases the movable member in a direction that causes the two engaging parts to respectively engage the two engaged parts; and a second biasing member, which biases the squeegee in a direction that causes the squeegee to separate from the holder, wherein the two engaging parts are configured to respectively engage the two engaged parts by moving the squeegee toward the holder against the biasing force of the second biasing member, and the first biasing member is configured to automatically push the two engaging parts into engagement with the two engaged parts and detachably fasten the squeegee to the holder in response to the squeegee reaching an upper portion of the first and second holder recesses.
19 . A floor cleaner, comprising:
a brush supported by a base member and configured to be rotatable driven by an electric motor, a liquid supply tank configured to supply a liquid to underneath the base member, and the squeegee device according to claim 1 mounted on the base member such that the first blade is contactable with a surface to be cleaned.
