Reaction Ball Tossing Game

Abstract

A playing board and a method of play for a reaction ball tossing game wherein the board is a 16″×16″×4″ surface with a deflection tower and three holes designed for keeping track of scoring. The deflection tower is centrally located at the top edge of the board to allow the reaction ball a chance to either bounce into one of the cutouts or into the field of play for the defense.

1 . A reaction ball tossing game comprising of a playing board with a top surface, side boards, bottom surface, three cutout holes, further comprising of two large scoring cutouts and one small scoring cutout, catching nets, and a deflection tower. 
     
     
         2 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the top surface is 16″×16″×4″ with three circular holes cut out of the top surface and a deflection tower connected to the top surface. 
     
     
         3 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein large scoring cutouts  20  and  25  have a 5″ diameter with a catching net affixed to the circumference of the cutouts. 
     
     
         4 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein small scoring cutout  30  has a 3″ diameter with a catching net affixed to the circumference of the cutout. 
     
     
         5 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the center of large scoring cutout  20  is located 8″ from the top and bottom edge of the playing surface and 4″ from the left edge of the playing surface. 
     
     
         6 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the center of large scoring cutout  25  is located 8″ from the top and bottom edge of the playing surface and 4″ from the right edge of the playing surface. 
     
     
         7 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the center of the small scoring cutout  30  is located 8″ from the left and right edges of the playing surface and 4″ from the bottom edge of the playing surface. 
     
     
         8 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the deflection tower is a triangular prism centrally located 4″ from the left edge and 4″ from the right edge of the playing board. 
     
     
         9 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the hypotenuse of the deflection tower, which is affixed to the playing board surface, is 4.95″, while each leg of the right triangle, which protrudes from the playing board surface, is 3.5″ and is constructed from a front board that is 3.5″ in length and a back board that is 3.0″ in length. 
     
     
         10 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the deflection tower has a length of 8″. 
     
     
         11 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the bottom surface comprises of a 16″×16″×0.5″ board. 
     
     
         12 . The playing board as in  claim 1 , wherein the side boards are 4″×″16″×1″ in dimensions and cut at 45-degree angles for the corners. 
     
     
         13 . A reaction ball tossing game comprising of two playing boards, two reaction balls, and two to four players. 
     
     
         14 . The reaction ball tossing game as in  claim 13 , wherein the game is played to 21. 
     
     
         15 . The reaction ball tossing game as in  claim 13 , wherein a team cannot go over 21 and must hit 21 exactly. 
     
     
         16 . The reaction ball tossing game as in  claim 13 , wherein if a team goes over 21, their score drops back to 15. 
     
     
         17 . The reaction ball tossing game as in  claim 13 , wherein the defensive team may not attempt to catch the ball until one bounce has occurred. 
     
     
         18 . The reaction ball tossing game as in  claim 13 , wherein 3 points are awarded for the offensive team if the ball makes it into one of the two larger holes. 
     
     
         19 . The reaction ball tossing game as in  claim 13 , wherein 5 points are awarded for the offensive team if the ball makes it into the smaller hole at the front of the board. 
     
     
         20 . The reaction ball tossing game as in  claim 13 , wherein If the offensive team makes a ball into the three hole and the five hole at any time in the same turn, the game is ended and the offensive team wins.
