Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an air purifier. The air purifier includes: a body having an inlet formed on a circumferential surface thereof and an outlet formed on an upper surface thereof; and a booster disposed at an upper side of the body and switching a flow direction of air which flows to the upper side through the outlet. The booster includes a booster case having a booster inlet at one side facing the outlet and a booster outlet in an opposite direction to the booster inlet, and a booster fan rotatably disposed inside the booster case, and sucking air in a direction which is in line with a rotary axis and sending the air in a vertical direction to the rotary axis. An inner guide which guides the air flowing by the booster fan to the booster outlet is disposed at an inner side of the booster case.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1 . An air purifier comprising:
a body having an inlet formed on an circumferential surface thereof and an outlet formed on an upper surface thereof; and a booster disposed on the body and switching a flow direction of air which flows to the upper side through the outlet, wherein the booster includes a booster case having a booster inlet at one side facing the outlet and a booster outlet in an opposite direction to the booster inlet, and a booster fan rotatably disposed inside the booster case, and sucking air in a direction which is in line with a rotary axis and sending the air in a vertical direction to the rotary axis, and wherein a booster discharge passage is disposed inside the booster case to guide the air flowing by the booster fan toward the booster outlet.

2 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the booster discharge passage configured to be bent toward the booster outlet within the booster case so as to send the air flowing from the booster fan to the booster outlet.

3 . The air purifier of claim 2 , wherein the booster discharge passage decreases in cross-sectional area toward the booster outlet.

4 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the booster further includes a fan housing disposed in the booster case to form a space in which the booster fan is disposed, and
wherein the fan housing has a housing suction port, and a housing discharge port formed on a circumferential surface of the fan housing.

5 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the booster case includes
a front body disposed in a front of the booster fan, a circumference body disposed in a circumferential direction of the booster fan, and a rear body disposed in a rear of the booster fan and having the booster inlet.

6 . The air purifier of claim 5 , wherein the booster outlet is formed between the front body and the circumference body in an annular shape.

7 . The air purifier of claim 5 , wherein the front body includes a front wall disposed in the front of the booster fan, and a first inner guide wall extended to a rear on an outer circumference of the front wall, and
wherein the first inner guide wall is formed to have a diameter that decreases from the front wall toward the rear.

8 . The air purifier of claim 7 , wherein the circumference body a second inner guide wall spaced apart from the first inner guide wall, and
the booster discharge passage is formed between the first inner guide wall and the second inner guide wall.

9 . The air purifier of claim 5 , wherein the circumference body includes an outer wall, and a second inner guide wall disposed at an inner side of the outer, and
wherein the outer wall and the second inner guide wall are disposed to be spaced apart from each other.

10 . The air purifier of claim 9 , wherein a gap between the outer wall and the second inner guide wall decreases toward the booster outlet, and
wherein the outer wall and the second inner guide wall are disposed to be in contact with each other at one side of the booster outlet.

11 . The air purifier of claim 5 , wherein the rear body forms a continuous surface with the outer wall of the circumference body.

12 . The air purifier of claim 5 , wherein the circumference body includes an inner circumference body that guides the air discharged from the booster fan and an outer circumference body disposed on an outer circumference of the inner circumference body, and
wherein a front end portion of the inner circumference body has a structure of protruding to an outer side so as to cover an outer peripheral end of the outer circumference body.

13 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the booster case includes a case front wall disposed on a front surface of the booster fan, and a case rear wall disposed on a circumferential surface and a rear surface of the booster fan, and having the booster inlet, and
