Abstract

The present invention is a structured tile-based game apparatus designed for word formation, strategic gameplay, and social interaction. The apparatus includes 100 tiles categorized into common, premium, blank, and optional bonus tiles, each assigned distinct numerical score values. A pouch with an ergonomic design allows for secure storage and random tile drawing. The game is played on a flat surface, optionally enhanced with a grid layout, bonus spaces, or magnetic stability features. Additional components include a scoring mechanism for calculating points based on tile placement and unplayed tiles, a display board for score tracking, a timer for turn regulation, and an optional word verification system. Tiles are durable, with engraved, painted, or imprinted designs, and may support multilingual gameplay. The invention is adaptable for physical and digital formats, providing an engaging, educational, and accessible experience for players of various ages, promoting cognitive skills, strategic thinking, and group bonding.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An apparatus for playing a structured word-building game on a flat surface, comprising:
 a plurality of tiles including:
 a first set of common tiles, each having a letter of the alphabet and a first tile design;
 a second set of common tiles, each having a letter of the alphabet and a second tile design;
 a set of premium tiles, each premium tile having a unique design, a higher score value than said first set of common tiles and said second set of common tiles, and incorporating visual or tactile identifiers distinguishing them from said first set of common tiles and said second set of common tiles; and
 a set of blank tiles without a letter designation, configurable as wild tiles during gameplay;
   a pouch ergonomically designed to hold and randomly dispense said plurality of tiles, featuring a drawstring closure and an optional tote-style handle for portability; a scoring mechanism configured to calculate a score of a player based on: a placement of said plurality tiles on said flat surface; and
 a weighted scoring system that accounts for tile values, premium spaces, and unplayed tiles remaining at an end of each round; and
   a word verification system comprising an electronic device with a preloaded dictionary database to validate a plurality of words, including at least first word and a second word, formed during gameplay.

         2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said plurality of tiles further comprises:
 a set of bonus multiplier tiles with distinct symbols, configured to multiply said score of any word formed using a bonus multiplier tile of said set of bonus multiplier tiles.

         3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said flat surface includes:
 a modular grid with non-slip material such as a neoprene or a scratch-resistant melamine; and specialized zones marked as bonus spaces, designed to amplify scores for said plurality of tiles placed on said specialized zones.

         4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of tiles is made from a durable material, selected from a group consisting of a bamboo, a plastic, or a hand-carved wood, and further includes engraved or imprinted numerical score values.

         5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:
 a display board integrated with an electronic tracking to show:
 a real-time score of each player;
 a number of said plurality of tiles remaining in a tile collection of each player; and
 a number of said plurality of tiles left in said pouch.

         6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said plurality of tiles are color-coded by category, with:
 said first set of common tiles and said second set of common tiles of a first color; said set of premium tiles of a second color; said set of blank tiles of a third color; and a set of bonus multiplier tiles highlighted in a fourth color.

         7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:
 a timer device to limit a duration of a turn of each player, featuring adjustable settings for competitive or casual gameplay.

         8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said plurality of tiles and said flat surface are magnetized to secure said plurality of tiles in place during gameplay.

         9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:
 a tile dispenser system that shuffles and randomly dispenses said plurality of tiles during gameplay to prevent manual tampering or bias.

         10 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said word verification system:
 scans tile arrangements on said flat surface using an image recognition technology; and validates words against said preloaded dictionary database and notifies players of invalid arrangements.

         11 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said scoring mechanism incorporates:
 automatic calculation of points based on said placement of said plurality tiles and use of a bonus multiplier tile of said set of bonus multiplier tiles; and deduction for unplayed tiles at said end of each round.

         12 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein said plurality of tiles includes:
 language-specific variants for multilingual gameplay, with each set of said plurality of tiles corresponding to a different alphabet, such as English, Spanish, or Mandarin.

         13 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising:
 a mobile application that integrates with said apparatus to:
 display scores and validate words; and
 provide gameplay instructions and tile distribution records.
