Modular Furniture Frame Unit

Abstract

A modular furniture frame unit includes a desk element, a bed support and a storage component housing at least one pull-out wardrobe, the bed support configured to receive a bed mattress thereon, the storage component of the frame unit positioned underneath or adjacent to the bed support, and the desk element positioned underneath or adjacent to the bed support. A furniture assembly includes two or more of the modular furniture frame units.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A modular furniture frame unit comprising:
 a desk element, a bed support and a storage component housing at least one pull-out wardrobe;   the bed support configured to receive a bed mattress thereon;   the storage component of the frame unit positioned underneath or adjacent to the bed support; and   the desk element positioned underneath or adjacent to the bed support.   
     
     
         2 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 1 , wherein the bed support is a loft bed support, the desk element houses a desktop, and the desk element and the storage section are adjacent to each other and underneath the loft bed support. 
     
     
         3 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a first loft bed support side-panel positioned perpendicular to and extending upward from a first side edge of the loft bed support; and   a second loft bed support side-panel positioned perpendicular to and extending upward from a second side edge of the loft bed support;   the first loft bed support side-panel having a recess from a first loft bed support side-panel top and extending downward towards a first loft bed support side-panel bottom, the recess being able to receive a bed support ladder.   
     
     
         4 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 3 , further comprising:
 a front storage component panel, a back storage component panel, a top storage component panel, a bottom storage component panel and a side storage component panel, the front, back, top, bottom and side storage component panels, collectively, defining the at least one pull-out wardrobe;   the at least one pull-out wardrobe having an access side positioned parallel and opposite to the side storage component panel, the access side of the at least one pull-out wardrobe adjacent to a first side of the desk element when the at least one pull-out wardrobe is retracted; and   the pull-out wardrobe configured with a wardrobe height such that the top storage component panel is positioned under the bed support when the pull-out wardrobe is retracted.   
     
     
         5 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 4 , wherein the bed support ladder is secured to the front storage component panel of the at least one pull-out wardrobe. 
     
     
         6 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 5 , wherein the first bed support side-panel comprises a first bed support middle sub-panel secured between a left first bed support sub-panel and a right first bed support sub-panel, and the second bed support side-panel comprises two second bed support sub-panels secured to each other, wherein the first bed support middle sub-panel defines the recess in the first bed support panel. 
     
     
         7 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 5 , further comprising a loft bed support front panel and a loft bed support back panel, the loft bed support, the first loft bed support side-panel, the second loft bed support side-panel, the loft bed support front panel, and the loft bed support back panel, collectively, define a loft-bed area. 
     
     
         8 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 7 , wherein the bed support ladder extends upward essentially the entire length of the front storage component panel and the recess. 
     
     
         9 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 8 , wherein the storage component houses a first pull-out wardrobe and a second pull-out wardrobe side-by-side from each other, the access side of the first pull-out wardrobe adjacent to the first side of the desk element when the first pull-out wardrobe is retracted, and the access side of the second pull-out wardrobe is adjacent to the back storage component panel when both the first pull-out wardrobe and the second pull-out wardrobe are retracted. 
     
     
         10 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 1 , wherein the bed support is positioned on top of a bed support base, the bed support base comprising:
 two substantially identical bed base side-panels parallel to each other and positioned perpendicular to and extending downward from the bed support at a respective bed support side, and two substantially identical bed base end-panels parallel to each other and positioned perpendicular to and extending downward from the bed support at a respective bed support end.   
     
     
         11 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 10 , wherein the storage component is positioned adjacent to the bed support and the bed support base. 
     
     
         12 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 a front storage component panel, a back storage component panel, a top storage component panel, a bottom storage component panel and a side storage component panel, the front, back, top, bottom and side storage component panels, collectively, defining the at least one pull-out wardrobe;   the at least one pull-out wardrobe having an access side positioned parallel and opposite to the side storage component panel.   
     
     
         13 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 12 , wherein the desk element is defined by a desktop, a first side desk panel, a second side desk panel and a back desk panel, the desktop positioned on of top of the first side desk panel, the second side desk panel and the back desk panel. 
     
     
         14 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 13 , further comprising at least one step leading to the bed support, the at least one step adjacent to the desk element. 
     
     
         15 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 14 , wherein the storage component is a storage cabinet defined by at least two storage cabinet side-panels identical or substantially identical and parallel to each other, the storage cabinet side-panels wide enough apart to house the pull-out wardrobe. 
     
     
         16 . A furniture assembly comprising two modular furniture frame units of  claim 2 , the two modular frame units mirror images of each other. 
     
     
         17 . The furniture assembly of  claim 6 , wherein the two modular furniture frame units are separated by a partition wall. 
     
     
         18 . A furniture assembly comprising two modular furniture frame units of  claim 11 , the two modular frame units mirror images of each other. 
     
     
         19 . The furniture assembly of  claim 18  installed under a dropped ceiling. 
     
     
         20 . The modular furniture frame unit of  claim 17 , wherein a privacy curtain extends downward from the dropped ceiling and in front of the bed support.
