One Hand Mag-hold

Abstract

A magazine holder for use with a firearm. The magazine holder is configured to enable quick, one-hand magazine swaps. To accomplish this task, the user simply guides the firearm handle down along the front side of the back support. An integrated wedge body pushes the magazine slightly outward and away from the back support, thereby providing a clear path for guiding the magazine into the magazine well of the firearm. Once the firearm handle makes contact with the top of the pair of arms, the user pops the magazine out of the pair of arms by rotating the firearm handle outward. Next, while using the back support as a backstop, the user presses down on the firearm handle to slide the magazine fully into the firearm. Upon full insertion, the firearm is loaded and now ready to use.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A firearm magazine holder comprising:
 a holder body;   a wedge body;   the holder body comprising a back support, a base support, and a pair of arms;   the base support extending laterally outward from a front side of the back support;   the base support being integrated into a bottom end of the back support;   the wedge body connected to the front side of the back support;   the base support being configured to secure the base plate of a magazine;   the pair of arms being configured to secure the sides of the magazine;   the wedge body having a pre-defined thickness;   the wedge body being configured to press up against the back of the magazine; and   the wedge body being configured to guide the magazine into the magazine well of a firearm.   
     
     
         2 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 1  comprising:
 the holder body further comprising a pair of push dimples; 
 the pair of push dimples being positioned above the base support; and 
 the pair of push dimples being configured to secure the top side of the base plate of the magazine. 
 
     
     
         3 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein the wedge body is detachably connected to the back support. 
     
     
         4 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein the wedge body is integrated into the back support. 
     
     
         5 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 1  comprising:
 a belt clip; and 
 the belt clip being attached to a rear side of the back support. 
 
     
     
         6 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 2  comprising:
 the base support comprising a bottom flange and an upper lip; 
 the bottom flange extending outward, substantially perpendicular with the back support; and 
 the upper lip being terminally connected to a distal end of the bottom flange. 
 
     
     
         7 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 6  comprising:
 the pair of arms comprising a first arm and a second arm; 
 the first arm extending outward from a first side of the back support; and 
 a profile shape of the first arm being substantially rectilinear. 
 
     
     
         8 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 7  comprising:
 the second arm extending outward from a second side of the back support; and 
 a profile shape of the second arm being substantially curvilinear. 
 
     
     
         9 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 8 , wherein the holder body is constructed from a thermo-formed material. 
     
     
         10 . A firearm magazine holder comprising:
 a holder body;   a wedge body;   the holder body comprising a back support, a base support, a pair of arms, and a pair of push dimples;   the base support extending laterally outward from a front side of the back support;   the base support being integrated into a bottom end of the back support;   the base support comprising a bottom flange and an upper lip;   the bottom flange extending outward, substantially perpendicular with the back support;   the upper lip being terminally connected to a distal end of the bottom flange;   the wedge body being detachably connected to the front side of the back support;   the pair of push dimples being positioned above the base support;   the base support being configured to secure the base plate of a magazine;   the pair of push dimples being configured to secure the top side of the base plate of the magazine;   the pair of arms being configured to secure the sides of the magazine;   the wedge body having a pre-defined thickness;   the wedge body being configured to press up against the back of the magazine; and   the wedge body being configured to guide the magazine into the magazine well of a firearm.   
     
     
         11 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 10  comprising:
 a belt clip; and 
 the belt clip being attached to a rear side of the back support. 
 
     
     
         12 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 10  comprising:
 the pair of arms comprising a first arm and a second arm; 
 the first arm extending outward from a first side of the back support; and 
 a profile shape of the first arm being substantially rectilinear. 
 
     
     
         13 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 12  comprising:
 the second arm extending outward from a second side of the back support; and 
 a profile shape of the second arm being substantially curvilinear. 
 
     
     
         14 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 13 , wherein the holder body is constructed from a thermo-formed material. 
     
     
         15 . A firearm magazine holder comprising:
 a holder body;   a wedge body;   the holder body comprising a back support, a base support, a pair of arms, and a pair of push dimples;   the base support extending laterally outward from a front side of the back support;   the base support being integrated into a bottom end of the back support;   the base support comprising a bottom flange and an upper lip;   the bottom flange extending outward, substantially perpendicular with the back support;   the upper lip being terminally connected to a distal end of the bottom flange;   the pair of arms comprising a first arm and a second arm;   the first arm extending outward from a first side of the back support;   a profile shape of the first arm being substantially rectilinear;   the second arm extending outward from a second side of the back support;   a profile shape of the second arm being substantially curvilinear;   the wedge body being integrated into the front side of the back support;   the pair of push dimples being positioned above the base support;   the base support being configured to secure the base plate of a magazine;   the pair of push dimples being configured to secure the top side of the base plate of the magazine;   the pair of arms being configured to secure the sides of the magazine;   the wedge body having a pre-defined thickness;   the wedge body being configured to press up against the back of the magazine; and   the wedge body being configured to guide the magazine into the magazine well of a firearm.   
     
     
         16 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 15  comprising:
 a belt clip; and 
 the belt clip being attached to a rear side of the back support. 
 
     
     
         17 . The firearm magazine holder as claimed in  claim 15 , wherein the holder body is constructed from a thermo-formed material.
