Abstract

A plowing system (1) for removably mounting onto a vehicle (3) in order to provide said vehicle (3) with lateral plowing capability along a given lateral range (5) of the vehicle (3), the plowing system (1) including a mounting assembly (7), a plowing assembly (9) and corresponding plowing component (11), as well as associated first and second actuating assemblies (15, 19) cooperable with one another so as to selectively operate the plowing component (11) between retracted and deployed configurations, and so as to provide the plowing system (1) and associated plowing assembly (9) and corresponding plowing component (11) with an increased plowing resistivity within the lateral range (5) of the vehicle (3), due to a combined effect of the first and second actuating assemblies (15, 19). Also described is a corresponding vehicle provided with such a plowing system (1).

1 . A plowing system ( 1 ) for removably mounting onto a vehicle ( 3 ) in order to provide said vehicle ( 3 ) with lateral plowing capability along a given lateral range ( 5 ) of the vehicle ( 3 ), the plowing system ( 1 ) comprising:
 a mounting assembly ( 7 ) for removably and operatively mounting the plowing system ( 1 ) onto the vehicle ( 3 );   a plowing assembly ( 9 ) operatively mountable onto the vehicle ( 3 ) via the mounting assembly ( 7 ), the plowing assembly ( 9 ) comprising a plowing component ( 11 ) pivotably mountable about a frontward portion of the mounting assembly ( 7 ), and being operable between retracted and deployed configurations within a given plowing angular range ( 13 ) extending into the lateral range ( 5 ) of the vehicle ( 3 );   a first actuating assembly ( 15 ) operatively extendable between the plowing component ( 11 ) and the mounting assembly ( 7 ), for selectively operating the plowing component ( 11 ) between the retracted and deployed configurations, a proximate end ( 15   b ) of the first actuating assembly ( 15 ) being operatively connectable onto a first base component ( 17   a ) of the plowing system ( 1 ), and a distal end ( 15   a ) of the first actuating assembly ( 15 ) being operatively connectable to a rear portion of the plowing component ( 11 ), so that a corresponding movement of the first actuating assembly ( 15 ) in turn operates the plowing component ( 11 ) within the plowing angular range ( 13 ); and   a second actuating assembly ( 19 ) operatively extendable between the first actuating assembly ( 15 ) and the mounting assembly ( 7 ), for cooperating with the first actuating assembly ( 15 ) in order to selectively operate the first actuating assembly ( 15 ) between the retracted and deployed configurations, a proximate end ( 19   b ) of the second actuating assembly ( 19 ) being operatively connectable onto a second base component ( 17   b ) of the plowing system ( 1 ), and a distal end ( 19   a ) of the second actuating assembly ( 19 ) being operatively connectable to a corresponding pivot component ( 21 ) of the first actuating assembly ( 15 ), so as to provide the plowing system ( 1 ) and associated plowing assembly ( 9 ) and corresponding plowing component ( 11 ) with an increased plowing resistivity within the lateral range ( 5 ) of the vehicle ( 3 ), due to a combined effect of the first and second actuating assemblies ( 15 . 19 ).
