Hybrid Surf Leash
Abstract
A hybrid surf leash has a board attachment section, a body attachment section, and a leash section comprising a coiled portion and a straight, stretchy portion. Each of these parts are connected to each other by a swivel, which prevents the leash from tangling or binding on itself. The coiled portion keeps the leash taught, such that it doesn't catch debris in the water, or end up under the user's feet. A preferred embodiment has the straight, stretching portion by a Bungee/Dyneema style cord. The body attachment section can be a belt or vest clip, or a cuff attached to a wrist, calf or ankle.
