Abstract
An exercise device for use in resistance training programs is provided, which can comprise: a hollow tubular structure and multiple resistance bands or cables, such that the one or more resistance bands or cables are contained completely or partially within the hollow tubular structure during rest and are capable of extending outside the hollow tubular structure during use.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An exercise device comprising:
a hollow tubular structure having a first open end and a second open end, the hollow tubular structure further comprising one or more longitudinally oriented cavities inside the hollow tubular structure; and one or more resistance bands or cables each having a first end and a second end, wherein the one or more resistance bands or cables are at least partially contained or oriented within the one or more longitudinally oriented cavities; wherein the first end of the one or more resistance bands or cables is accessible by a user of the exercise device using the first open end of the hollow tubular structure, and wherein the second end of the one or more resistance bands or cables (a) is secured to one or more locations inside the hollow tubular structure, or (b) extends out from, or is configurable to extend out from, the second open end of the hollow tubular structure such that the second end is secured to a mechanism anchoring and/or providing resistance to the one or more resistance bands or cables; and wherein part or all of the one or more resistance bands or cables remain completely or partially within the one or more longitudinally oriented cavities inside the hollow tubular structure, and wherein at least the first end of the one or more resistance bands or cables is configured to extend out from, be pulled from, or both, the first open end of the hollow tubular structure.
2 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein when the second end of the one or more resistance bands or cables extends out from the second open end of the hollow tubular structure and is secured to a mechanism anchoring and/or providing resistance to the one or more resistance bands or cables, the second open end of the hollow tubular structure is adjustably engaged to an object, such that an angle of the hollow tubular structure where the second open end of the hollow tubular structure adjustably engages the object is adjustable.
3 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the hollow tubular structure and the one or more resistance bands or cables are portable or fixed in location.
4 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the hollow tubular structure is comprised of two or more sections which may be separated in order to separate the hollow tubular structure into two or more sections.
5 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the one or more resistance bands or cables contained partially or completely within the one or more longitudinally oriented cavities inside the hollow tubular structure are attachable and detachable.
6 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the first end of the one or more resistance bands or cables is operably configured for attachment to a handle.
7 . The exercise device of claim 1 , further comprising an attachment or a mechanism to select an amount of resistance of the one or more resistance bands or cables and/or a combination of the one or more resistance bands or cables.
8 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the hollow tubular structure is rigid, semi-rigid, flexible, or capable of bending.
9 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the provided resistance is adjustable.
10 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the provided resistance resists the first end of the one or more resistance bands or cables from extending out from, being pulled from, or both, the first open end of the hollow tubular structure.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
