Eyewear-Holding Baseball Cap

Abstract

An eyewear-holding baseball cap includes a cap portion, a brim, orifices in said cap portion, and gripping structures. The cap portion has a pair of the orifices, one positioned in each of the left and right sides of the cap portion. The orifices are designed to permit insertion of left and right temple arms of eyewear resting on the brim into the interior of the cap portion. One of the gripping structures is positioned at a perimeter edge of each of the orifices to grip a temple arm inserted through each of the orifices to minimize or prevent eyewear resting on the brim from falling off.

I claim: 
     
         1 . An eyewear-holding baseball cap comprising:
 a cap portion and a brim;   said cap portion having a pair of orifices, one disposed in each of the left and right sides of said cap portion and configured to permit insertion of left and right temple arms of eyewear resting on said brim into the interior of said cap portion; and   gripping structures, wherein one of said gripping structures is disposed at a perimeter edge of each of said orifices to grip a temple arm inserted through each of said orifices to minimize or prevent eyewear resting on said brim from falling off.   
     
     
         2 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 1 , wherein each of said orifices comprises a vertical slit oriented transverse to a lower edge of said cap portion. 
     
     
         3 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 2 , wherein each of said slits has a pair of said gripping structures disposed one on each elongated side of said slit. 
     
     
         4 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 3 , wherein each of said pair of gripping structures comprises an elongated strip disposed along the length of its corresponding elongated side. 
     
     
         5 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 4 , wherein said pair of gripping structures are disposed immediately adjacent or in contact with one another. 
     
     
         6 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 5 , wherein each of said gripping structures comprises rubber. 
     
     
         7 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 1 , wherein each of said gripping structures comprises rubber. 
     
     
         8 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 6 , wherein each of said slits is disposed approximately 1.0 to 1.5 inches from said lower edge of said cap portion and is approximately 1.0 to 1.5 inches long. 
     
     
         9 . The eyewear-holding baseball cap of  claim 2 , wherein each of said slits is disposed approximately 1.0 to 1.5 inches from said lower edge of said cap portion and is approximately 1.0 to 1.5 inches long.
