Abstract

An appliance mounting device is provided herein. The appliance includes a vacuum insulated structure having a liner positioned within a wrapper, wherein the liner and wrapper cooperate to define an interior cavity. The appliance further includes an insulating material positioned within the interior cavity and a hanger coupled to an adapter plate and a support member. The support member is configured to couple to an interior surface of the vacuum insulated structure while maintaining a vacuum in the interior cavity and a holding member is coupled to a first side of the adapter plate and configured to receive a positioning member.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A vacuum insulated appliance, comprising:
a wrapper; a liner positioned within the wrapper, wherein the wrapper and the liner define a vacuum insulated cavity therebetween; a thermal bridge coupling the wrapper and the liner; a first support member coupled to an interior surface of the liner; a second support member coupled to the interior surface and spaced from the first support member; a first hanger coupled to the first support member; a second hanger coupled to the second support member; a first adapter plate coupled to an interior surface of the first hanger, wherein the first adapter plate defines a receiving channel from proximate a front edge to proximate a rear edge; a second adapter plate coupled to an interior surface of the second hanger, wherein the second adapter plate defines a receiving channel from proximate a front edge to proximate a rear edge; a roller wheel coupled to at least one of the first adapter plate and the second adapter plate proximate to the receiving channel and the front edge; and a storage feature configured to roll along the roller wheel to be guided along the receiving channels between a deployed position and a stowed position.

2 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 1 , wherein each receiving channel is defined between elongated protrusions extending between the front edge and the rear edge, respectively.

3 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 2 , wherein the roller wheel is coupled to a lower one of the elongated protrusions on the at least one of the first and second adapter plates.

4 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 3 , wherein the lower one of the elongated protrusions defines a downward slope proximate to the front edge on each of the first and second adapter plates.

5 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 1 , wherein a rotational axis of the roller wheel extends between sidewalls of the liner.

6 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 1 , wherein the roller wheel includes at least one of an indentation and a ridge extending along a circumference thereof to engage the storage feature.

7 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 1 , wherein the storage feature is at least one of a shelf and a rack.

8 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 1 , wherein the storage feature is at least one of a bin and a drawer.

9 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 1 , wherein the liner includes a first liner defining a refrigeration compartment and a second liner defining a freezer compartment.

10 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 1 , further comprising:
a panel extending between top edges of the first and second adapter plates to form a shelf, wherein the storage feature is configured to move between the stowed and deployed positions below the panel.

11 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 10 , further comprising:
brackets extending over a top surface of the panel at side edges and along outer surfaces of the first and second adapter plates, respectively, to couple the panel to the first and second adapter plates.

12 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 11 , wherein the brackets extend from rear edges of the panel and the first and second adapter plates to front edges of the panel and the first and second adapter plates.

13 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 10 , further comprising:
a border member extending along a front edge of the panel.

         14 . A vacuum insulated appliance, comprising:
 a vacuum insulated structure including:
 a wrapper; and
 a liner coupled to the wrapper and defining a vacuum insulated cavity therebetween;
a first support member coupled to an interior surface of the liner; a second support member coupled to the interior surface; a first hanger coupled to the first support member; a second hanger coupled to the second support member; a first adapter plate coupled to an interior surface of the first hanger, wherein the first and second adapter plates have heights greater than the first and second hangers; a second adapter plate coupled to an interior surface of the second hanger; a panel extending between top edges of the first and second adapter plates to form a shelf; and brackets extending over a top surface of the panel at side edges and along outer surfaces of the first and second adapter plates, respectively, to couple the panel to the first and second adapter plates.

15 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 14 , wherein the brackets are spaced above the first and second hangers at the outer surfaces of the first and second adapter plates.

16 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 14 , further comprising:
a roller wheel coupled to the first adapter plate, wherein the first adapter plate defines a receiving channel from proximate a front edge to proximate a rear edge; and a storage feature configured to roll along the roller wheel to be guided along the receiving channels between a deployed position and a stowed position below the panel.

17 . The vacuum insulated appliance of claim 14 , further comprising:
