Abstract

A child carrier includes a carrying harness, a child supporting part connected with the carrying harness and including a hip support portion and a torso support portion connected with each other, and a panel having a first end anchored to the carrying harness, a second end anchored to the child supporting part at a location distant from the first end, and an intermediate portion between the first end and the second end that extends above the hip support portion and adjacently overlaps with the hip support portion.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A child carrier comprising:
 a carrying harness;   a child supporting part connected with the carrying harness, the child supporting part including a torso support portion and a neck support portion connected with each other; and   a bib installable on the child supporting part;   wherein the neck support portion is adjustable between a plurality of vertical positions relative to the torso support portion, and the torso support portion includes a plurality of fastening parts for holding the neck support portion and the bib in position, each of the fastening parts being operable to respectively engage with the neck support portion and the bib to hold the neck support portion in one of the plurality of vertical positions and the bib in position adjacent to the neck support portion.   
     
     
         2 . The child carrier of  claim 1 , wherein the neck support portion is fixedly connected to the torso support portion. 
     
     
         3 . The child carrier of  claim 1 , wherein the neck support portion is detachably connected to the torso support portion. 
     
     
         4 . The child carrier of  claim 1 , wherein the neck support portion is adjustable between the plurality of vertical positions relative to the torso support portion by folding the neck support portion over the torso support portion. 
     
     
         5 . The child carrier of  claim 1 , wherein the bib is installed on the neck support portion. 
     
     
         6 . The child carrier of  claim 5 , wherein the bib is detachably installed on the neck support portion. 
     
     
         7 . The child carrier of  claim 5 , wherein the neck support portion comprises fastening parts to engage the bib to hold the bib in position. 
     
     
         8 . The child carrier of  claim 1 , wherein the bib is substantially U-shaped comprising a transversal portion and two side portions protruding from the transversal portion at two opposite sides thereof. 
     
     
         9 . The child carrier of  claim 8 , wherein the bib comprises two openings respectively disposed on the bib adjacent to a connecting region where each side portion respectively joins the transversal portion for attachment of the bib to the child supporting part. 
     
     
         10 . The child carrier of  claim 1 , wherein the bib comprises a plurality of openings for attachment of the bib to the child supporting part. 
     
     
         11 . The child carrier of  claim 10 , wherein the plurality of a plurality fastening parts engage with the plurality of openings to hold the bib in position. 
     
     
         12 . The child carrier of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of a plurality fastening parts comprise buttons. 
     
     
         13 . A child carrier comprising:
 a carrying harness;   a child supporting part connected with the carrying harness, the child supporting part including a torso support portion and a neck support portion connected with each other; and   a bib installable on the child supporting part adjacent to the neck support portion;   wherein the neck support portion is adjustable between a plurality of vertical positions relative to the torso support portion, and the torso support portion includes a plurality of fastening parts for holding the neck support portion in position, each of the fastening parts being operable to respectively engage with the neck support portion to hold the neck support portion in one of the plurality of vertical positions.   
     
     
         14 . The child carrier of  claim 13 , wherein the bib comprises a plurality of openings for attachment of the bib to the child supporting part. 
     
     
         15 . The child carrier of  claim 14 , wherein the plurality of a plurality fastening parts further engage with the plurality of openings to hold the bib in position. 
     
     
         16 . The child carrier of  claim 13 , wherein the bib is detachably installed on the neck support portion. 
     
     
         17 . The child carrier of  claim 16 , wherein the neck support portion comprises fastening parts to engage the bib to hold the bib in position. 
     
     
         18 . The child carrier of  claim 13 , wherein the neck support portion is detachably connected to the torso support portion. 
     
     
         19 . The child carrier of  claim 13 , wherein the neck support portion is adjustable between the plurality of vertical positions relative to the torso support portion by folding the neck support portion over the torso support portion. 
     
     
         20 . The child carrier of  claim 13 , wherein
 the bib is substantially U-shaped comprising a transversal portion and two side portions protruding from the transversal portion at two opposite sides thereof, and   the bib comprises two openings respectively disposed on the bib adjacent to a connecting region where each side portion respectively joins the transversal portion for attachment of the bib to the child supporting part.
