Abstract
A brush for cleaning, scrubbing, sweeping, applying liquids or paint, or the like, wherein the brush has a handle body for holding while in use and the handle body integrally comprising a channel for clipping to an item by an interference fit for retaining the brush after use. The compact, lightweight brush is held tightly allowing it to be transported on the item to which it is attached.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A brush comprising:
a handle body, carrier, and a plurality of bristles extending from the carrier.
2 . The brush of claim 1 , wherein the handle body includes first and second opposing ends, first and second opposing sides, and first and second distal ends, all defining an open interior channel defining a predetermined cross section, the channel further including an open receiving area extending between said first and said second distal ends, further being contoured to receive and retain an item using interference fit;
further wherein the handle body includes a contoured external surface providing a gripping surface.
3 . The brush of claim 1 , wherein the handle body and carrier form a monolithic structure.
4 . The brush of claim 2 , further including a supplemental retainer comprising a holder including a pair of locking tabs along the exterior of first distal end for retaining a band and a latch disposed at a center of the handle body second distal end for securing the band.
5 . The brush of claim 2 , further including a supplemental retainer comprising a hook and loop strap securable to the opposing first and second distal ends and extending across said receiving area.
6 . The brush of claim 2 , wherein the handle body has a plurality of opposing tabs molded on the interior of said first and second distal ends to provide additional points of contact with the item.
7 . A method of retaining a brush, comprising:
a. providing a brush wherein the handle body includes first and second opposing ends, first and second opposing sides, and first and second distal ends, all defining an open interior channel defining a predetermined cross section, the channel further including an open receiving area extending between said first and said second distal ends, further being contoured to receive and retain an item using interference fit;
further wherein the handle body includes a contoured external surface providing a gripping surface.
b. providing an item to which the brush will be retained,
c. placing said open interior channel, of said handle body, against said item,
d. pressing the said handle body towards the said item until seated in said channel completing an interference fit,
whereby said brush can be stored and transported on said item to which it is retained.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
