Abstract
Aspects herein are directed to a bra having a front portion formed with multiple layers of mesh to provide a supportive, modest bra that is breathable, lightweight, and quick drying. The front portion includes an interior support panel assembly having a first panel made of a mesh material and a second panel made of a spacer mesh material that is adjacent and external to the first panel. The front portion also includes an upper support panel made of a spacer mesh material and a lower support panel made of a mesh material that each are positioned adjacent and external to the interior support panel assembly. The upper support panel and the lower support panel are each defined by a top edge and a bottom edge, and at least a portion of the upper support panel bottom edge may be positioned superior to the lower support panel bottom edge.

1 . An upper-body support garment comprising:
a front portion configured to cover at least a portion of a wearer's chest; the front portion connected to a first shoulder strap and a second shoulder strap and to a lower band; a first elastic strap coupled to the first shoulder strap at a position above the front portion and coupled to the lower band at a position proximate a center of the lower band; and a second elastic strap coupled to the second shoulder strap at a position above the front portion and coupled to the lower band at the position proximate the center of the lower band.
2 . The upper-body support garment of claim 1 , wherein the first elastic strap and the second elastic strap are positioned internal to at least a portion of the front portion.
3 . The upper-body support garment of claim 1 , wherein the front portion comprises a plurality of mesh panels that at least partially overlap.
4 . The upper-body support garment of claim 1 , wherein each of the first elastic strap and the second elastic strap extend diagonally between a top margin of the lower band and one of the first shoulder strap or the second shoulder strap.
5 . An upper-body support garment comprising:
a front portion that is configured to cover at least a portion of a wearer's chest; the front portion being affixed to a lower band; the front portion comprising an external panel, which comprises a first side edge on a first side of the upper-body support garment, a second side edge on a second side of the upper-body support garment, and a lower edge connected to the lower band, wherein the lower edge comprises a concave cutout; and the front portion comprising a first internal panel and a second internal panel that are internal to the external panel, wherein the first internal panel extends laterally beyond the first side edge and is exposed through the concave cutout and the second internal panel extends laterally beyond the second side edge and is exposed through the concave cutout.
6 . The upper-body support garment of claim 5 , wherein the first internal panel and the second internal panel are a same size and shape.
7 . The upper-body support garment of claim 6 , wherein the first internal panel and the second internal panel are placed on the upper-body support garment in a mirror image configuration.
8 . The upper-body support garment of claim 5 , wherein the external panel comprises a first exterior panel and a second exterior panel, wherein the first exterior panel is adjacent and external to at least a portion of an exterior-facing surface of the second exterior panel.
9 . The upper-body support garment of claim 8 , wherein the first exterior panel and the second exterior panel have one or more of a same width, size, and shape.
10 . The upper-body support garment of claim 8 , wherein the first exterior panel and the second exterior panel are affixed together along a perimeter of the respective panels while the face-to-face surfaces are decoupled from each other.
11 . The upper-body support garment of claim 8 , wherein the first exterior panel and the second exterior panel are entirely bonded together.
12 . The upper-body support garment of claim 8 , wherein the first exterior panel comprises a spacer mesh material and the second exterior panel comprises a non-spacer mesh material having a different stretch than the spacer mesh material.
