Abstract

A smoking article can include a conical tube made primarily of smoking paper, the conical tube including a first portion defining a first opening, the conical tube including a second portion defining a second opening; a filter positioned inside the first portion of the conical tube; wherein: the conical tube defines a channel between the first opening and the second opening; the first portion of the conical tube wraps around the filter, the second portion of the conical tube does not wrap around the filter; and the second portion of the conical tube defines a single pinhole.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A smoking article, comprising:
 a conical tube made primarily of smoking paper, the conical tube including a first portion defining a first opening, the conical tube including a second portion defining a second opening; and   a filter positioned inside the first portion of the conical tube;   wherein:   the conical tube defines a channel between the first opening and the second opening;   the first portion of the conical tube wraps around the filter;   the second portion of the conical tube does not wrap around the filter; and   the second portion of the conical tube at least partially defines a single pinhole.   
     
     
         2 . The smoking article of  claim 1 , wherein the pinhole is positioned 1 cm or less from the filter. 
     
     
         3 . The smoking article of  claim 1 , wherein the pinhole has a diameter in a range from approximately 0.1 mm to approximately 2 mm. 
     
     
         4 . The smoking article of  claim 1 , wherein the pinhole has a diameter in a range from approximately 0.4 mm to approximately 1.6 mm. 
     
     
         5 . The smoking article of  claim 1 , wherein the conical tube is made primarily of one or more plant fibers. 
     
     
         6 . The smoking article of  claim 1 , wherein the filter is made primarily of one or more plant fibers. 
     
     
         7 . A smoking article, comprising:
 a conical tube made primarily of smoking paper, the conical tube including a first portion defining a first opening, the conical tube including a second portion defining a second opening;   a filter positioned inside the first portion of the conical tube;   wherein:   the conical tube defines a channel between the first opening and the second opening;   the first portion of the conical tube wraps around the filter;   the second portion of the conical tube does not wrap around the filter; and   the second portion of the conical tube at least partially defines a pinhole.   
     
     
         8 . The smoking article of  claim 7 , wherein the pinhole is positioned 1 cm or less from the filter. 
     
     
         9 . The smoking article of  claim 7 , wherein the pinhole has a diameter in a range from approximately 0.1 mm to approximately 2 mm. 
     
     
         10 . The smoking article of  claim 7 , wherein the pinhole has a diameter in a range from approximately 0.4 mm to approximately 1.6 mm. 
     
     
         11 . The smoking article of  claim 7 , wherein the conical tube is made primarily of one or more plant fibers. 
     
     
         12 . The smoking article of  claim 7 , wherein the filter is made primarily of one or more plant fibers. 
     
     
         13 . A smoking article, comprising:
 a tube made primarily of smoking paper, the tube including a first portion defining a first opening, the tube including a second portion defining a second opening;   a filter positioned inside the first portion of the tube;   wherein:   the tube defines a channel between the first opening and the second opening;   the first portion of the tube wraps around the filter;   the second portion of the tube does not wrap around the filter; and   the second portion of the tube at least partially defines a single hole that is not positioned over the filter.   
     
     
         14 . The smoking article of  claim 13 , wherein the pinhole is positioned 1 cm or less from the filter. 
     
     
         15 . The smoking article of  claim 13 , wherein the pinhole has a diameter in a range from approximately 0.1 mm to approximately 4 mm. 
     
     
         16 . The smoking article of  claim 13 , wherein the pinhole has a diameter in a range from approximately 0.4 mm to approximately 1.6 mm. 
     
     
         17 . The smoking article of  claim 13 , wherein the tube is made primarily of one or more plant fibers. 
     
     
         18 . The smoking article of  claim 13 , wherein the filter is made primarily of one or more plant fibers.
