Abstract

The present disclosure concerns an appliance for cooking dishes comprising: an oven having a cooking compartment and a door adapted to selectively allow access to the cooking compartment, said door having a cooling cavity that can be crossed by a cooling air flow; a hob, arranged above the oven, having at least one suction opening for the cooking fumes; a downdraft hood comprising a suction unit, a first suction duct and an outlet duct, wherein said first suction duct is configured to fluid-dynamically connect the suction unit with the suction opening of the hob and the suction unit sucks through the first suction duct and expels through said outlet duct. Said appliance is characterized in that it comprises a second suction duct configured to fluid-dynamically connect the suction unit of the downdraft hood with the cooling cavity, the cooling air flow is sucked through the cavity and expelled through the outlet duct of the downdraft hood.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Appliance for cooking dishes, comprising:
an oven having a cooking compartment and a door configured to selectively allow access to the cooking compartment, said door comprising a cooling cavity configured to be crossed by a cooling air flow; a hob arranged above the oven along a vertical direction and having at least one suction opening for the cooking fumes; a downdraft hood comprising a suction unit, a first suction duct and an outlet duct, said first suction duct being configured to fluid-dynamically connect the suction unit with the suction opening of the hob and the suction unit sucks through said first suction duct and expels through said outlet duct; a second suction duct configured to fluid-dynamically connect the suction unit of the downdraft hood with the cooling cavity to allow the suction of the cooling air flow through the cavity and expel said cooling air flow through said outlet duct of the downdraft hood a third suction duct fluid-dynamically connected to the suction unit of the downdraft hood and at least partially surrounding the cooking compartment, the third suction duct being configured to be crossed by a further air flow distinct from the cooling air flow upon actuation of the suction unit.

         2 . Appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the cooking compartment is delimited at the bottom along the vertical direction by a lower wall; the third suction duct extends, at least in part, in close proximity to the lower wall of the cooking compartment along a direction transverse to the vertical direction.

3 . Appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the third suction duct is fluid-dynamically connected with the first suction duct upstream of the suction unit and downstream of the suction opening of the hob.

         4 . Appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the appliance has a front portion in which the door is arranged and a rear portion opposite to the front; the third suction duct has a first section extending from the front portion to the rear portion of the appliance along a depth direction oriented transversely to the vertical direction.

5 . Appliance according to claim 4 , wherein the third suction duct has a suction mouth arranged in the front portion of the appliance near the door, said suction mouth being configured to allow the introduction of the further air flow in the third suction duct upon actuation of the suction unit.

         6 . Appliance according to claim 4 , wherein:
the oven has an opening for access to the cooking compartment; the cooking compartment has a rear wall opposite to said opening; the third suction duct has a second section connected in series to the first section and arranged in the rear portion of the appliance in close proximity to the rear wall of the cooking compartment.

7 . Appliance according to claim 6 , wherein the second section of the third suction duct extends parallel to the vertical direction surrounding the rear wall of the cooking compartment.

8 . Appliance according to claim, wherein:
the cooking compartment is delimited at the top by an upper wall; the appliance comprising a partition arranged on the upper wall of the cooking compartment, adapted to keep the cooling air flow separated from the further air flow when they lap the upper wall.

9 . Appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the second suction duct and the third suction duct are joined to the first suction duct so as to be in fluid-dynamic communication with the suction unit.

         10 . Appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the cooking compartment has an upper wall spaced from the hob along the vertical direction; the second suction duct extends, at least partially, between said upper wall of the cooking compartment and the hob.

11 . Appliance according to claim 8 , wherein the second suction duct is fluid-dynamically connected with the first suction duct upstream of the suction unit and downstream of the suction opening of the hob.

         12 . Appliance according to claim 8 , wherein:
the cooling cavity of the door comprises an inlet opening adapted to allow the introduction of the cooling air flow into the cooling cavity, and an outlet opening adapted to allow the discharge of the cooling air flow introduced into the cooling cavity; the second suction duct is fluid-dynamically connected with the outlet opening of the cavity when the door prevents access to the cooking compartment.

13 . Appliance according to claim 1 , comprising closing elements associated with the suction opening of the hob, said closing elements being switchable between a closed position in which they obstruct the suction opening of the hob, and an opening position in which they leave the suction opening of the hob at least partially free.

         14 . Appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the cooking compartment is laterally delimited by a pair of side walls; the first suction duct extends along the vertical direction in close proximity to one of said side walls between an upper portion associated with the suction opening of the hob, and a lower portion associated with the suction unit.

15 . Appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the downdraft hood comprises a box-like body defining a suction compartment and arranged below the oven along the vertical direction, said suction unit being placed in the suction compartment of the box-like body, said suction compartment being in fluid-dynamic communication with the first and the second suction duct.
