Undermount workstation sink

Abstract

An undermount workstation sink includes a basin with a bottom, a back side wall, a front side wall, a right side wall, and a left side wall. The undermount workstation sink further includes a mounting edge along a top perimeter of the basin. The mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a first length and the mounting edge along the right side wall and the left side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a second length. The first length is about double the second length.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An undermount workstation sink comprising:
 a basin including:
 a bottom; 
 a back side wall; 
 a front side wall; 
 a right side wall; 
 a left side wall; and 
   a mounting edge along a top perimeter of the basin, wherein the mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a first length and the mounting edge along the right side wall and the left side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a second length, and the first length is about double the second length.   
     
     
         2 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 1 , wherein the mounting edges along the back side wall and the front side wall are configured to be attached to a countertop with a positive reveal so that the mounting edges provide a support surface for placement of a workstation accessory. 
     
     
         3 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 2 , wherein the mounting edges provide a support surface for placement of the workstation accessory with a top surface of the workstation accessory being flush with a top surface of the countertop to which the undermount workstation sink is attached. 
     
     
         4 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 1 , wherein the undermount workstation sink is attached to the countertop with silicone adhesive. 
     
     
         5 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 1 , wherein the mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall extends out from the top perimeter of the basin about 1.25 inches. 
     
     
         6 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 5 , wherein the mounting edge along the right side wall and the left side wall extends out from the top perimeter of the basin about 0.75 inches. 
     
     
         7 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 6 , wherein the undermount workstation sink is attached to the countertop with silicone adhesive applied to an outer portion of about .75 inches of the mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall when the undermount workstation sink is attached to the countertop with a positive reveal. 
     
     
         8 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 1 , wherein the undermount workstation sink is stainless steel. 
     
     
         9 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 1 , wherein the mounting edge has a thickness of about 0.25 inches. 
     
     
         10 . The undermount workstation sink of  claim 1 , wherein the workstation accessory is a cutting board. 
     
     
         11 . A system for a providing a top surface of a workstation accessory flush to a countertop, the system comprising:
 the countertop;   the workstation accessory; and   an undermount workstation sink attached to a bottom surface of the countertop, the undermount workstation sink comprising:
 a basin including:
 a bottom; 
 a back side wall; 
 a front side wall; 
 a right side wall; 
 a left side wall; and 
 
 a mounting edge along a top perimeter of the basin, wherein the mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a first length and the mounting edge along the right side wall and the left side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a second length, and the first length is about double the second length. 
   
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the mounting edges along the back side wall and the front side wall are configured to be attached to a countertop with a positive reveal so that the mounting edges provide a support surface for placement of a workstation accessory. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the mounting edges provide a support surface for placement of the workstation accessory with a top surface of the workstation accessory being flush with a top surface of the countertop to which the undermount workstation sink is attached. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the undermount workstation sink is attached to the countertop with silicone adhesive. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall extends out from the top perimeter of the basin about 1.25 inches. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 14 , wherein the mounting edge along the right side wall and the left side wall extends out from the top perimeter of the basin about 0.75 inches. 
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the undermount workstation sink is attached to the countertop with silicone adhesive applied to an outer portion of about .75 inches of the mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall when the undermount workstation sink is attached to the countertop with a positive reveal. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the workstation accessory is a cutting board. 
     
     
         19 . A method for a providing a top surface of a workstation accessory flush to a countertop, the method comprising;
 placing a workstation accessory on a mounting edge along a back side wall and a front side wall of an undermount workstation sink, wherein the undermount workstation sink is attached to a bottom side of the countertop with a positive reveal and the undermount workstation sink comprises:   a basin including:
 a bottom; 
 the back side wall; 
 the front side wall; 
 a right side wall; 
 a left side wall; and 
   the mounting edge along a top perimeter of the basin, wherein the mounting edge along the back side wall and the front side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a first length and the mounting edge along the right side wall and the left side wall extends out perpendicular from the top perimeter of the basin a second length, and the first length is about double the second length.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein the workstation accessory is a cutting board.
