Sheet manufacturing apparatus

Abstract

A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes: a supply unit that supplies powdered and granular material; and a forming unit that forms a sheet from fibers and the supplied powdered and granular material, the supply unit includes a holding unit that detachably holds a container configured to store the powdered and granular material, and a motor, and the motor rotates the container attached to the holding unit to discharge the powdered and granular material from the container.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A sheet manufacturing apparatus comprising:
 a supply unit that supplies powdered and granular material;   a mixing unit that mixes fibers and the supplied powdered and granular material to form a mixture;   a deposition unit that deposits the mixture to form a web; and   a forming unit that compresses the web to form the web into a sheet, wherein   the supply unit includes   a holding unit that detachably holds a container configured to store the powdered and granular material, and   a motor, and   the motor rotates the container attached to the holding unit to discharge the powdered and granular material from the container.   
     
     
         2 . The sheet manufacturing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the angle at which the central axis intersects the vertical direction is 15 degrees or more and 75 degrees or less.   
     
     
         3 . The sheet manufacturing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the holding unit includes   a first pressing roller and a second pressing roller that are driven rollers configured to rotate following the rotation of the container, and   a biasing mechanism that causes the first pressing roller and the second pressing roller to protrude from the inner wall and press the container.   
     
     
         4 . The sheet manufacturing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the holding unit includes a sensor that detects insertion of the container.   
     
     
         5 . The sheet manufacturing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the holding unit includes a mesh facing the position of a discharge opening through which the container discharges the powdered and granular material, and   the motor rotates the container attached to the holding unit to discharge the powdered and granular material from the container through the mesh.
