Ergonomic Shoe
Abstract
A specialized and ergonomic shoe designed to accommodate the natural shape and dimensions of a wearer's foot. The shoe comprises an upper member with a vamp, a lacing area featuring multiple eyelets, and a throat. An elevated heel, ranging from about 0.5 inch to 3 inches, is disposed on the sole for improved posture and comfort. The anatomically shaped toe box includes a pointed large toe end and a slanting front end angled between 8 degrees to 20 degrees from horizontal, extending to a small toe end positioned lower than or below the large toe end. The toe box features a protruding arcuate portion on one side for accommodating the Metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint and is designed with a thickness of 2.0 mm to 2.5 mm to prevent toe compression.
