Abstract
A Combustion igniter cord with enhanced power. Combustion igniter cord for a propellant charge contained in the case of a cartridge, said igniter cord consisting of a core comprising a pyrotechnic material and surrounded by a sheath. The sheath consists of two concentric cylindrical tubes between which is arranged a free powder energetic material. Both tubes are made of an inert polymer material or contain an extruded energetic propellant powder material or one tube may be made of an inert polymer material and the other may contain an extruded energetic propellant powder material.

2 - The igniter cord according to claim 1 , wherein the two tubes are made of an inert polymer material, where said tubes can be connected to each other.
3 - The igniter cord according to claim 1 , wherein the two tubes are made of an energetic propellant powder material extruded in a block.
4 - The igniter cord according to claim 1 , wherein one of the tubes is made of an inert polymer material and the other is made of an energetic propellant powder material extruded in a block.
5 - The igniter cord according to claim 2 , wherein the inert material is low-density polyethylene.
6 - The igniter cord according to claim 4 , wherein the inert material is low-density polyethylene.
7 - The igniter cord according to claim 2 , wherein the tubes made of energetic propellant powder material extruded in block form are solid or split tubes.
8 - The igniter cord according to claim 4 , wherein the tubes made of energetic propellant powder material extruded in block form are solid or split tubes.
9 - The igniter cord according to claim 1 , wherein the energetic material is chosen from single-base propellant powders, multi-base propellant powders and pyrotechnic compositions.
10 - The igniter cord according to claim 3 , wherein the energetic material is chosen from single-base propellant powders, multi-base propellant powders and pyrotechnic compositions.
11 - The igniter cord according to claim 4 , wherein the energetic material is chosen from single-base propellant powders, multi-base propellant powders and pyrotechnic compositions.
12 - The igniter cord according to claim 9 , wherein the single-base propellant powders are chosen from nitrocellulose powders.
13 - The igniter cord according to claim 10 , wherein single-base propellant powders are chosen from the nitrocellulose powders.
14 - The igniter cord according to claim 11 , wherein the single-base propellant powders are chosen from nitrocellulose powders.
15 - The igniter cord according to claim 9 , wherein a pyrotechnic composition is chosen from black powder (PN), benite, a boron/potassium nitrate composition (B/KNO 3 ) and mixtures thereof.
16 - The igniter cord according to claim 10 , wherein a pyrotechnic composition is chosen from black powder (PN), benite, a boron/potassium nitrate composition (B/KNO 3 ) and mixtures thereof.
17 - The igniter cord according to claim 11 , wherein a pyrotechnic composition is chosen from black powder (PN), benite, a boron/potassium nitrate composition (B/KNO 3 ) and mixtures thereof.
