Abstract

An example foot support configured to be mounted to a Pilates reformer includes a base having a generally flat front surface, a back surface, and at least one fastener mounted to the back surface. The at least one fastener is configured to couple to a foot bar of the Pilates reformer.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A foot support configured to be mounted to a Pilates reformer, the foot support comprising:
 a base including a generally flat front surface and a back surface; and   at least one fastener mounted to the back surface, the at least one fastener configured to be couple to a foot bar of the Pilates reformer.   
     
     
         2 . The foot support of  claim 1 , further comprising a pad mounted to the front surface. 
     
     
         3 . The foot support of  claim 2 , wherein the pad includes a foam material and a cover, wherein the pad is disposed between the cover and the flat front surface of the base. 
     
     
         4 . The foot support of  claim 3 , wherein the cover comprises a vinyl, leather, or synthetic leather material. 
     
     
         5 . The foot support of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one fastener includes a hook. 
     
     
         6 . The foot support of  claim 5 , wherein the hook includes a plastisol grip. 
     
     
         7 . The foot support of  claim 1 , wherein the generally flat front surface of the base includes a rectangular board that extends the length of the foot bar of the Pilates reformer. 
     
     
         8 . The foot support of  claim 1 , further including a strap configured to secure the base to the Pilates reformer. 
     
     
         9 . The foot support of  claim 8 , wherein the strap includes a bungee strap having a first end coupled to the base and a second end comprises a carabiner clip. 
     
     
         10 . The foot support of  claim 8 , wherein the strap includes a belt configured to secure the base to the foot bar. 
     
     
         11 . The foot support of  claim 8 , wherein the strap includes a binding including a hook and loop fastener that secures the base to the foot bar. 
     
     
         12 . A foot support configured to be mounted to a Pilates reformer, the foot support comprising:
 a rectangular platform having a front surface and a back surface;   a cushion disposed on the front surface of the platform;   a securement system attached to the back surface of the platform, the securement system including:
 two hooks configured to couple with a foot bar of the Pilates reformer, wherein a first strap is disposed over each hook and configured to secure the platform to the foot bar: and 
   a second strap configured to secure the platform to a frame of the Pilates reformer.   
     
     
         13 . The foot support of  claim 12 , wherein the first strap includes a binding including a hook and loop fastener that secures the two hooks to the foot bar. 
     
     
         14 . The foot support of  claim 12 , wherein the second strap includes a bungee strap having a first end coupled to the base and a second end comprises a carabiner clip. 
     
     
         15 . The foot support of  claim 12 , wherein the cushion includes a foam material and a cover, wherein the cushion is disposed between the cover and the flat front surface of the base. 
     
     
         16 . The foot support of  claim 12 , wherein the two hooks include a plastisol grip. 
     
     
         17 . A Pilates reformer, comprising:
 a carriage mounted on a frame, the frame including a rail and the carriage configured to laterally move along the rail;   one or more springs that couple the carriage to the frame, the one or more springs configured to provide training resistance to a user of the Pilates reformer;   a foot bar mounted to the frame, the foot bar configured to support hands or feet of the user; and   a foot support configured to be mounted to the foot bar, the foot support including a platform and at least one fastener configured to couple the foot support to the foot bar.   
     
     
         18 . The Pilates reformer of  claim 17 , wherein the foot bar is configured to pivot. 
     
     
         19 . The Pilates reformer of  claim 17 , wherein the foot support distributes the user's weight across the foot bar and the frame. 
     
     
         20 . The Pilates reformer of  claim 17 , wherein the foot support includes a pad mounted to the front surface, the pad including a foam material and a cover, wherein the pad is disposed between the cover and the platform of the foot support.
