2 . The smoking article of claim 1 , further comprising:
a filter portion, the interface positioned between the tobacco filler material and the filter portion.
3 . The smoking article of claim 2 , wherein the filter portion includes an additive.
4 . The smoking article of claim 2 , wherein
the wrapping paper is a first wrapping paper, and the smoking article further comprises:
a second wrapping paper around the filter portion.
5 . The smoking article of claim 4 , wherein the second wrapping paper at least partially defines the interface.
6 . The smoking article of claim 4 , further comprising:
a third wrapping paper around the filter portion, the third wrapping paper positioned between the second wrapping paper and the filter portion.
7 . The smoking article of claim 6 , wherein the third wrapping paper at least partially defines the interface.
8 . The smoking article of claim 6 , wherein the third wrapping paper includes an inner adhesive line for adhering the third wrapping paper to the filter portion.
9 . The smoking article of claim 1 , wherein the interface is completely defined by the inner surface of the wrapping paper, the mouth end of the tobacco filler material, and a cap or plug on a mouth end of the tobacco filler material.
10 . The smoking article of claim 1 , wherein the interface is empty.
11 . The smoking article of claim 1 , wherein the interface includes a plurality of additive beads.
12 . The smoking article of claim 1 , wherein the interface includes a single additive bead.
13 . The smoking article of claim 1 , wherein the interface includes a liquid additive.
14 . The smoking article of claim 1 , wherein the interface has a length greater than 0 millimeter to less than or equal to 3 millimeters.
15 . The smoking article of claim 1 , wherein the tobacco filler material includes:
a tobacco material; and a non-tobacco leaf material including leaves, leaf particles, leaf portions, or any combination thereof of one or more non-tobacco plants, trees, or both non-tobacco plants and trees.
16 . The smoking article of claim 15 , wherein a ratio of an amount of the tobacco material in the tobacco filler material to an amount of the non-tobacco leaf material in the tobacco filler material is in a range of 99:1 to 50:50.
17 . The smoking article of claim 15 , wherein a ratio of an amount of the tobacco material in the tobacco filler material to an amount of the non-tobacco leaf material in the tobacco filler material is in a range of 95:5 to 25:75.
18 . The smoking article of claim 15 , wherein a ratio of an amount of the tobacco material in the tobacco filler material to an amount of the non-tobacco leaf material in the tobacco filler material is in a range of 95:5 to 55:45.
19 . The smoking article of claim 15 , wherein a ratio of an amount of the tobacco material in the tobacco filler material to an amount of the non-tobacco leaf material in the tobacco filler material is 75:25.
20 . The smoking article of claim 15 , wherein the one or more non-tobacco plants, trees, or both non-tobacco plants and trees includes bamboo, banana, kendu, palm, coconut, fan palm, sorghum, collard green, dandelion, hawthorn, burdock, chick pea, soybean, switchgrass, timothy, sugarcane, cabbage, cauliflower, spinach, tomato, or any combination thereof.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
