Fan bank enabling reduced fan noise and vibration
Abstract
A fan bank enabling reduced fan noise and vibration includes a plurality of fans, any one of the fans has a fan blade rotation direction different from that of other fans located vertically and horizontally adjoining thereto, and fans having the same blade rotation direction are located diagonally to each other in the fan bank. All the fans in the fan bank are arrayed to form a matrix including columns and rows. Since the fans located vertically or horizontally adjoining to each other have different blade rotation direction, it is possible to avoid enlarged noise and vibration that would otherwise occur when the adjoining fans have the same blade rotation direction.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fan bank comprising:
a plurality of fans, each of which includes an independent fan frame having an air inlet and air outlet respectively arranged on two opposite sides of the fan frame and wherein each fan rotates in a direction different from that of other fans located horizontally and vertically adjoining thereto, and fans in the fan bank rotating in the same direction being located diagonally to each other; all fans in the fan bank being arrayed to form a matrix including vertical columns and horizontal rows; and the fans located adjoining to each other in the same column or in the same row rotating in different directions to prevent the fans from producing the same frequency resonance and noise due to rotating in the same direction and due to airflow interference, wherein the air outlets of the fans are separated from one another, such that airflow fields generated therefrom are mutually non-interfering and wherein the fan bank is mounted in an electronic product or device.
2 . The fan bank as claimed in claim 1 , wherein every fan in the fan bank includes a plurality of blades extended from an impeller; and the blades on the impellers of any two fans located vertically and horizontally adjoining to each other in the fan bank being extended in two opposite inclination directions.
3 . The fan bank as claimed in claim 1 , wherein every fan in the fan bank has a blade rotation direction different from the blade rotation direction of other fans that are located either vertically adjoining thereto or horizontally adjoining thereto.
4 . The fan bank as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the fans in the fan bank respectively each include an impeller having a plurality of blades extended therefrom and an air passage defined between the air inlet and the air outlet; the frame further including a shaft base located at a central area of the air outlet, and the impeller being located in the air passage and rotatably connected to the shaft base.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
