Foldable storage device

Abstract

A collapsible, modular container is provided which facilitates ease of storage, ease of transport and is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The container is an improvement over current containers known in the art by providing a solution to bulky containers which are difficult to store and transport due to their large size and rigid structure which requires significant space even when the container is empty.

1 . A collapsible storage box comprising:
 A first component, referred to as a Top of Box (TOB), including:
 A lid; 
 Two side panels connected to the lid via hinges; 
   A second component, referred to as a Bottom of Box (BOB), including:
 A rectangular frame; 
 A front panel and a back panel, each connected to the frame via hinges; 
   Wherein the TOB and BOB are independently collapsible and can be assembled together to form a storage container;   Wherein the collapsible design allows the storage box to be folded to a height of approximately six inches for compact storage;   Wherein the TOB and BOB interlock securely to maintain structural integrity during use;   Wherein the TOB and BOB are modular and interchangeable, allowing any TOB to be paired with any BOB, enhancing customization and ease of replacement;   Wherein the TOB and BOB are scalable to different dimensions while maintaining modular compatibility.   
     
     
         2 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the modular design enables quick replacement of individual components without requiring tools. 
     
     
         3 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the interlocking mechanism allows for stable assembly while maintaining ease of disassembly for storage or transport. 
     
     
         4 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the modular design allows for multiple TOBs to be stacked on a single BOB for expanded storage capacity. 
     
     
         5 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the TOB and BOB are made from durable materials that maintain modular compatibility across different sizes and models. 
     
     
         6 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the interlocking design provides enhanced stability on uneven surfaces, such as sandy beaches. 
     
     
         7 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the storage box is constructed from a variety of materials, including but not limited to plastics, metals, and composites. 
     
     
         8 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , further comprising an integrated storage compartment within the TOB for holding small items. 
     
     
         9 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the BOB includes a drainage system for moisture release when used in beach environments. 
     
     
         10 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the hinges are made from corrosion-resistant materials to withstand outdoor and marine conditions. 
     
     
         11 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the lid is reinforced with an insulated layer for temperature-sensitive storage applications. 
     
     
         12 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , further comprising an optional handle mechanism for easier transportation when collapsed.

         15 . The collapsible storage box of  claim 1 , wherein the TOB and BOB can be attached with additional accessories, such as cup holders, trays, or mounting brackets.
