Wallet assembly having a band member
Abstract
A wallet assembly comprised of a pair of plaque members having a generally planar shape conforming to a standard credit card having a generally flexible composition. Each plaque having a specifically configured notch with a preselected depth along a length of each plaque of the pair of plaques to generally provide a space for the placement of a band member configured to secure the plaques in adjacency and maintain a continuously planar edge around the perimeter of the plaque members. The band member having a first side with a first width and a second side with a second width, wherein the first width is greater than the second width to form an angular edge.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A wallet assembly comprising:
a plurality of flexible plaque members comprising:
a first plaque member and a second plaque member, wherein the plaque members include a first end and a second end and a first side and a second side extending between the first end and the second end; and
a removable band member configured to maintain a compressive force between the first plaque member and the second plaque member.
2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the first plaque member and the second plaque member are flexible.
3 . The device as in claim 2 , wherein the band member is comprised of a thermoplastic urethane (TPU).
4 . The wallet assembly of claim 3 , wherein the band member having a first side with a first width and a second side with a second width, wherein the first width is greater than the second width to form an angular edge configured to allow a user to better grab the band member.
5 . The wallet assembly of claim 3 , wherein the first plaque member has a first notch on a first side and a second notch on a second side, wherein the notches are positioned opposite each other on the first plaque member, and the second plaque member has a first notch on a first side and a second notch on a second side, wherein the notches are positioned opposite each other on the first plaque member, wherein the notches of the first and second plaque members are configured to allow the band portion of the band member to be seated within the notches and to allow for the sides of the first and second plaque members to remain generally planar.
6 . The wallet assembly of claim 5 , wherein each member of the pair of plaque members has a first side and second side with a first side having a first coating and a second side having a second coating, wherein the second coating is a conductive material to provide RFID blocking capabilities.
7 . The wallet assembly of claim 5 , wherein the first and second plaque members are comprised of a polymer infused with a metallic component configured to provide RFID blocking.
8 . The wallet assembly of claim 3 , wherein each plaque of the pair of plaque members includes a first notch and a second notch positioned along a length on opposed edges of each plaque and extending a predetermined depth, wherein the predetermined depth is selected to be a distance between the opposite notches that is closely aligned with the standard width dimension of a standard credit card.
9 . The wallet assembly of claim 8 , wherein the band member is seated within the first notch and second notch of the both plaque members securely, forming a continuous planar edge of the wallet assembly without a bump or protrusion along the sides of the plaque members.
10 . The wallet assembly of claim 9 , wherein the TPU is a polycaprolactone based TPU.
11 . The wallet assembly of claim 2 , wherein the band includes a pair of edges, with each edge of the pair of edges generally being radiused or chamfered, wherein the band edge has a dimensioned shape that is not substantially flat.
12 . The wallet assembly of claim 5 , wherein the band member is comprised of an elastic TPU composition.
13 . The wallet assembly of claim 8 , wherein the band member further comprises a grip portion, wherein the grip portion has a width greater than the top surface of the band portion of the band member.
14 . The wallet assembly of claim 3 , wherein the first plaque member and the second plaque member each have corresponding first recessed areas on the first end of each plaque member, and a second recessed area located at the second end of each plaque member.
15 . The wallet assembly of claim 10 , wherein the first recessed areas and the second recessed areas can be recessed a pre-determined distance from the respective end of the plaque member and configured to a allow a user to easily access a portion of the contents located between the first and the second plaque members.
16 . The wallet assembly of claim 13 , further comprising a third plaque member.
17 . The wallet assembly of claim 16 , wherein the third plaque member is rigid.
18 . The wallet assembly of claim 15 , wherein the recessed portions form a tab on each corner of the plaque member to allow a user to lift and flex the plaque member to access the interior area between the two plaque members.
19 . The wallet assembly of claim 14 , wherein the band member has a first surface having a first coefficient of friction and the second surface having a second coefficient of friction, wherein the first coefficient of friction is lower than the second coefficient of friction.
20 . A wallet assembly comprising:
a first flexible plaque member having a first side, a second side, a third side, and a fourth side, wherein the first side and the second side are positioned opposite of each other and the third side and the fourth side are positioned opposite of each other, wherein the first side and the second side each have a recessed area; a second flexible plaque member having a first side, a second side, a third side, and a fourth side, wherein the first side and the second side are positioned opposite of each other and the third side and the fourth side are positioned opposite of each other, wherein the first side and the second side each have a recessed area; and a polycaprolactone based TPU band member having a first side, a second side, and an edge, wherein the band member includes a band portion and a grip portion, wherein the band member is configured to maintain a compressive force between the first plaque member and the second plaque member, wherein the first, second, third and fourth side of each of the first and second plaque members further includes a groove configured to engage the band portion of the band member which is configured to be housed within the grooves and to form a continuous planar edge of the wallet assembly without a bump or protrusion along the sides of the plaque members.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
