Abstract

A heat pump is provided. The heat pump includes an outdoor unit including a heat exchanger and configured to heat heating water through the heat exchanger, and a distribution unit connected to the outdoor unit through a water pipe and configured to receive the heating water and distribute the received heating water to a heating unit, wherein the distribution unit includes a cabinet forming a machine room therein, a first cover including a cover portion installed on an upper side of the cabinet and configured to cover a part of the machine room, and a second cover connected to the water pipe, the second cover including a second cover body configured to cover another part of the machine room, and wherein the second cover is configured to be connected to the first cover such that the second cover body is positioned lower than the cover portion.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A heat pump comprising:
 an outdoor unit including a heat exchanger and configured to heat heating water through the heat exchanger; and   a distribution unit connected to the outdoor unit through a water pipe and configured to receive the heating water and distribute the received heating water to a heating unit,   wherein the distribution unit comprises:
 a cabinet forming a machine room therein, 
 a first cover including a cover portion installed on an upper side of the cabinet and configured to cover a part of the machine room, and 
 a second cover connected to the water pipe, the second cover including a second cover body configured to cover another part of the machine room, and 
   wherein the second cover is configured to be connected to the first cover such that the second cover body is positioned lower than the cover portion.   
     
     
         2 . The heat pump of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first cover of the distribution unit includes an extension portion that is bent downward from the cover portion, and   wherein the second cover of the distribution unit is configured to be coupled to the extension portion and extend rearward.   
     
     
         3 . The heat pump of  claim 2 ,
 wherein one end of the second cover is configured to be coupled to one end of the extension portion that faces downward, and   wherein another end of the second cover is configured to be coupled to the cabinet of the distribution unit.   
     
     
         4 . The heat pump of  claim 2 ,
 wherein the cabinet comprises a side panel configured to cover a side portion of the second cover, and   wherein the heat pump further comprises a piping space through which the water pipe passes, the piping space being formed by the extension portion, the side panel, and the second cover.   
     
     
         5 . The heat pump of  claim 4 , wherein the side panel includes a panel body and an opening formed to pass through the panel body and communicating with the piping space. 
     
     
         6 . The heat pump of  claim 5 , wherein the side panel further comprises an opening cover configured to cover the opening. 
     
     
         7 . The heat pump of  claim 6 , wherein the opening cover is formed integrally with the panel body. 
     
     
         8 . The heat pump of  claim 6 ,
 wherein the side panel includes a hole formed to pass through the panel body, the hole including a first hole portion formed by cutting out a portion of an edge of the side panel forming the opening, and   wherein a connection tip positioned between the holes and configured to connect the opening cover and the panel body.   
     
     
         9 . The heat pump of  claim 8 , wherein the hole includes a second hole portion formed as a recess depressed from the first hole portion in an outward direction of the opening. 
     
     
         10 . The heat pump of  claim 9 , wherein the first hole portion has a diameter smaller than a diameter of the second hole portion. 
     
     
         11 . The heat pump of  claim 9 ,
 wherein the side panel includes:
 a pair of protrusion portions configured to form the first hole portion and facing each other, and 
 a pair of recessed portions configured to be connected to the pair of protrusion portions and form the second hole portion, and 
   wherein each of protruding ends of the pair of protrusion portions includes a round shape.   
     
     
         12 . The heat pump of  claim 9 ,
 wherein one end of the connection tip is connected to the opening cover, and   wherein another end of the connection tip is connected to a portion of the side panel that forms the second hole portion.   
     
     
         13 . The heat pump of  claim 9 , wherein the connection tip extends to pass by the first hole portion and the second hole portion. 
     
     
         14 . The heat pump of  claim 8 ,
 wherein the hole includes a plurality of holes arranged along an edge portion of the side panel forming the opening, and   wherein the connection tip includes a plurality of connection tips arranged along an edge of the opening cover and configured to pass by the plurality of holes.   
     
     
         15 . The heat pump of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the second cover includes a plurality of through holes arranged along a left-right direction for the water pipe to pass therethrough, and   wherein the plurality of through holes are arranged to form a plurality of rows along a front-rear direction.   
     
     
         16 . A heat pump comprising:
 an outdoor unit including a heat exchanger and configured to heat heating water through the heat exchanger;   a distribution unit configured to receive the heating water and distribute the received heating water to heating units;   a first water pipe configured to supply heating water from the outdoor unit to the distribution unit; and   a second water pipe configured to supply heating water from the distribution unit to the heating units,   wherein the distribution unit comprises:
 a cabinet forming a machine room therein, 
 a first cover including a cover portion installed on an upper side of the cabinet and configured to cover a part of the machine room, 
 a second cover including a second cover body installed on an upper rear side of the cabinet and disposed lower than the cover portion, and 
 through holes provided to allow the first water pipe and the second water pipe to pass therethrough. 
   
     
     
         17 . The heat pump of  claim 16 , wherein the distribution unit further comprises:
 an auxiliary heater in fluid coupled with the first water pipe and configured to heat the heating water passing through the auxiliary heater, and   a tank fluidly connected to the auxiliary heater to store the heating water.   
     
     
         18 . The heat pump of  claim 16 , wherein the distribution unit further comprises:
 a filter fluidly connected with the first water pipe and configured to filter out foreign substances included in the heating water.   
     
     
         19 . A heat pump comprising:
 an outdoor unit including a heat exchanger and configured to heat heating water through the heat exchanger; and   a distribution unit connected to the outdoor unit through a water pipe and configured to receive the heating water and distribute the received heating water to heating units,   wherein the distribution unit comprises:
 a cabinet including side panels and forming a machine room, 
 a tank disposed in the machine room and connected to the water pipe to store the heating water, 
 a first cover including a cover portion configured to cover a part of the machine room and an extension portion bent downward from the cover portion, and 
 a second cover body configured to be connected to the extension portion to cover another part of the machine room and disposed lower than the cover portion, and 
   wherein the heat pump includes a piping space formed by the extension portion, the side panels, and a second cover, and through which the water pipe passes, the piping space being formed to be disposed inside the cabinet.   
     
     
         20 . The heat pump of  claim 19 , wherein the distribution unit further comprises:
 an auxiliary heater fluidly connected with a first water pipe and configured to heat the heating water passing through the auxiliary heater, and   a filter fluidly connected with the first water pipe and configured to filter out foreign substances included in the heating water.
