Abstract

A palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus comprises a palm brace, a handgrip, and a weight adjustment system. The palm brace allows a user to rest a palmar surface of a hand to support the apparatus while in the hand. The handgrip gives the user a position to grip the device with a plurality of fingers. The palm brace and handgrip can be a fixed structure or can may comprise of a hand length adjustment system. The weight adjustment system comprises a rod and a weight pod. The weight adjustment system comprises many configurations with the rod and weight pod.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus comprises:
 a palm brace;   a neck portion;   a handgrip;   a weight adjustment system;   the palm brace, the neck portion, and the handgrip are configured   generally parallel and in a generally vertical stack;   the handgrip further comprises an upper member,
 a vertical connection, 
 a crossmember, 
 a first handgrip hole, 
 the upper member, the vertical member, and the crossmember are configured to define a hand cavity; 
   the weight adjustment system comprises a first rod,
 a weight pod, 
 a plurality of shaft locks; 
   the weight pod further comprises a first pod hole;   the first handgrip hole removably receives the first rod;   the first rod is secured to the handgrip by the plurality of shaft locks;   the first pod hole slidably receives the first rod; and   the weight pod is removably secured on the first rod by the plurality of shaft locks.   
     
     
         2 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 1  further comprises:
 a second rod; 
 the handgrip further comprising a second handgrip hole; 
 the weight pod further comprising a second pod hole; 
 the second handgrip hole receives the second rod; 
 the second rod is secured to the handgrip by the plurality of shaft locks; 
 the second pod hole slidably receives the second rod; 
 the weight pod is removably secured on the second rod by the plurality of shaft locks. 
 
     
     
         3 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in claim  3  further comprises:
 an adjustment bar; 
 the handgrip further comprising a second vertical connection,
 a second through hole; 
 
 the palm brace further comprises a first borehole,
 a second borehole; 
 
 the adjustment bar further comprises a first vertical member,
 a second vertical member, 
 a horizontal member, 
 a first rod hole, 
 a second rod hole; 
 
 the second vertical connection being configured opposite side of the handgrip from the first vertical connection to further define the hand cavity; 
 the upper member, the first vertical connection, the second vertical connection and the crossmember being integral; 
 the first borehole and the first through hole are aligned; 
 the second borehole and the second through hole are aligned; 
 the first through hole slidably receives the first vertical member; 
 the first borehole receives the first vertical member; 
 the first vertical member is secured to the palm brace with the plurality of shaft locks; 
 the second through hole slidably receives the second vertical member; 
 the second borehole receives the second vertical member; 
 the second vertical member is secured to the palm brace with the plurality of shaft locks; 
 the first rod hole slidably receives the first rod; 
 the second rod hole slidably receives the second rod; and 
 the palm brace, the handgrip, and the adjustment bar are operably configured wherein a breadth of the neck portion is adjustable. 
 
     
     
         4 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 1  wherein:
 a breadth of the neck portion is fixed; and 
 the neck portion is integral with the palm brace and the upper member of the handgrip. 
 
     
     
         5 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 2  further comprises an end cap;
 the end cap is removably attached to the first rod and the second rod. 
 
     
     
         6 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 5  further comprises:
 the rod further comprises a plurality of rod notches; 
 the end cap is a locking bar. 
 
     
     
         7 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 2  further comprises:
 the adjustment bar further comprises a plurality of bar notches; 
 the rod further comprises a plurality of rod notches; and 
 one of the plurality of shaft locks is an e-clip. 
 
     
     
         8 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 6  wherein one of the plurality of shaft locks is a shaft collar. 
     
     
         9 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 6  further comprises:
 one of the plurality of shaft locks is a sliding lock. 
 
     
     
         10 . A palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus comprises:
 a palm brace;   a neck portion;   a handgrip;   an adjustment bar;   a weight adjustment system;   the palm brace, the neck portion, and the handgrip are configured generally parallel and in a generally vertical stack;   the palm brace further comprises a first borehole;   the handgrip further comprises an upper member,
 a first vertical connection, 
 a crossmember, 
 a first handgrip hole, 
 a first through hole 
 the upper member, the first vertical connection, and the crossmember are configured to define a hand cavity; 
   the adjustment bar further comprises a first vertical member,
 a horizontal member, 
 a first rod hole; 
   the weight adjustment system comprises a first rod,
 a weight pod, 
 a plurality of shaft locks; 
   the weight pod further comprises a first pod hole;   the first handgrip hole receives the first rod;   the first rod is secured to the handgrip by the plurality of shaft locks;   the first pod hole slidably receives the first rod;   the weight pod being secured on the rod by the plurality of shaft locks;   the first borehole and first through hole are aligned;   the first through hole slidably receives the first vertical member;   the first borehole receives the first vertical member;   the first vertical member is secured to the palm brace with the plurality of shaft locks;   the first rod hole slidably receives the first rod; and   the palm brace, the handgrip, and the adjustment bar are operably configured wherein the breadth of the neck portion is adjustable.   
     
     
         11 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 10  further comprises:
 a second rod; 
 the handgrip further comprising a second handgrip hole; 
 the adjustment bar further comprises a second rod hole; 
 the weight pod further comprising a second pod hole; 
 the second handgrip hole receives the second rod; 
 the second rod hole slidably receives the second rod; 
 the second rod is removably secured to the handgrip by the plurality of shaft locks; 
 the second pod hole slidably receives the second rod; 
 the weight pod is removably secured on the second rod by the plurality of shaft locks. 
 
     
     
         12 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 11  further comprises:
 the handgrip further comprising a second vertical connection,
 a second through hole; 
 
 the adjustable bar further comprising a second vertical member; 
 the palm brace further comprises a second borehole; 
 the second vertical connection being configured opposite side of the handgrip from the first vertical connection to further define the hand cavity; 
 the upper member, the first vertical connection, the second vertical connection and the crossmember being integral; 
 the second borehole and the second through hole are aligned; 
 the second through hole slidably receives the second vertical member; 
 the second borehole receives the second vertical member; 
 the second vertical member is secured to the palm brace with the plurality of shaft locks. 
 
     
     
         13 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 11  further comprises an end cap;
 the end cap is removably attached to the first and the second rod. 
 
     
     
         14 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 13  further comprises:
 the rod further comprises a plurality of rod notches; and 
 the end cap is a locking bar. 
 
     
     
         15 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 12  further comprises:
 the adjustment bar further comprises a plurality of bar notches; 
 the first rod and the second rod further comprises a plurality of rod notches; and 
 one of the plurality of shaft locks is an e-clip. 
 
     
     
         16 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 15  wherein one of the plurality of shaft locks is a shaft collar. 
     
     
         17 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 15  further comprises:
 one of the plurality of shaft locks is a sliding lock. 
 
     
     
         18 . A palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus comprises:
 a palm brace;   a neck portion;   a handgrip;   a weight adjustment system;   a plurality of shaft locks;   the palm brace, the neck portion, and the handgrip are configured generally parallel and in a generally vertical stack;   the handgrip further comprises an upper member,
 a first vertical connection, 
 a crossmember, 
 a first handgrip hole, 
 the upper member, the vertical member, and the crossmember are configured to define a hand cavity; 
   the weight adjustment system comprises a first rod,
 a weight pod; 
   the weight pod further comprises a first pod hole;   the neck portion is integral with the palm brace and the upper member of the handgrip wherein the breadth of the neck portion is fixed;   the first handgrip hole receives the first rod and secured to the handgrip by the plurality of shaft locks;   the first pod hole slidably receives the weight pod; and   the weight pod being secured by the plurality of shaft locks.   
     
     
         19 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 18  further comprises:
 a second rod; 
 the handgrip further comprising a second vertical connection,
 a second handgrip hole; 
 
 the weight pod further comprising a second pod hole; 
 the second vertical connection being configured opposite side of the handgrip from the first vertical connection to further define the hand cavity; 
 the upper member, the first vertical connection, the second vertical connection and the crossmember being integral; 
 the second handgrip hole receives the second rod; 
 the second rod is removably secured to the handgrip by the plurality of shaft locks; and 
 the second pod hole slidably receives the second rod. 
 
     
     
         20 . The palm leverage handheld body strengthening apparatus as claimed in  claim 19  further comprises:
 an end cap; 
 the end cap is removably attached to the first rod and the second rod.
