Abstract

A hanger for hanging an object to a wall is disclosed. The hanger includes a track member adapted to be mounted to the wall and defining an elongated channel and a pair of sliders telescopically coupled to the track member and extending along the channel. The pair of sliders adapted to slide relative to the track member between an outward position and an inward position and being disposed on opposite sides of a central axis of the track member. The hanger further includes a pair of hooks to support the object and coupled to the sliders. A distance between the pair of hooks is varied by sliding the at least one of the slider relative to the track member.

What is claimed is:

1 . A hanger for hanging an object to a wall, the hanger comprising:
a track member adapted to be mounted to the wall and defining an elongated channel; a pair of sliders telescopically coupled to the track member and extending along the channel, the pair of sliders adapted to slide relative to the track member between an outward position and an inward position, wherein the pair of sliders being disposed on opposite sides of a central axis of the track member; and a pair of hooks to support the object and coupled to the sliders, wherein a distance between the pair of hooks is varied by sliding the at least one of the slider relative to the track member.

2 . The hanger of claim 1 , wherein the track member includes a U-shaped structure having a first end and a second end defining end openings of the channel, wherein in the outward position, each of the pair of sliders extends at least partly outside the associated end opening.

3 . The hanger of claim 2 , wherein the track member includes at least one stopper to prevent a removal of the sliders from the channel through a front opening of the track member.

         4 . The hanger of claim 3 , wherein
the track member includes a plate adapted to abut the wall and a pair of sidewalls extending substantially perpendicularly to the plate, and the front opening is arranged facing the plate.

5 . The hanger of claim 4 , wherein the at least one stopper is engaged to at least one of the pair of sidewalls and extends parallel to the plate.

6 . The hanger of claim 5 , wherein the at least one stopper includes a pair of stoppers extending perpendicularly from the pair of sidewalls.

7 . The hanger of claim 1 , wherein the track member defines at least one hole to facilitate the mounting of the track member to the wall.

8 . The hanger of claim 1 , wherein the pair of sliders includes
a first slider arranged on a first side of the central axis and at least partially extends outwardly of a first end of the track member in the outward position, and a second slider arranged on a second side of the central axis and at least partially extends outwardly of a second end of the track member in the outward position.

9 . The hanger of claim 1 , wherein each of the pair of sliders includes
a first portion arranged inside the channel abutting a plate of the track member, and a second portion arranged inside a front opening of the track member and defining at least one step at an interface of the first portion and the second portion to guide the sliding of the slider relative to the track member.

10 . A hanger for hanging an object to a wall, the hanger comprising:
a track member adapted to be mounted to the wall and having an elongated channel extending from a first end to a second end defining end openings of the channel; a pair of sliders telescopically coupled to the track member and extending along the channel, the pair of sliders adapted to slide relative to the track member between an outward position and an inward position, wherein the pair of sliders being disposed on opposite sides of a central axis of the track member and each of the pair of sliders extends at least partly outside the associated end opening; and a pair of hooks to support the object and coupled to the sliders, wherein a distance between the pair of hooks is varied by sliding the at least one of the slider relative to the track member.

11 . The hanger of claim 10 , wherein the track member includes at least one stopper to prevent a removal of the sliders from the channel through a front opening of the track member.

         12 . The hanger of claim 11 , wherein
the track member includes a plate adapted to abut the wall and a pair of sidewalls extending substantially perpendicularly to the plate, and the front opening is arranged facing the plate.

13 . The hanger of claim 12 , wherein the at least one stopper is engaged to at least one of the pair of sidewalls and extends parallel to the plate.

14 . The hanger of claim 13 , wherein the at least one stopper includes a pair of stoppers extending perpendicularly from the pair of sidewalls.

15 . The hanger of claim 10 , wherein the track member defines at least one hole to facilitate the mounting of the track member to the wall.

16 . The hanger of claim 10 , wherein the pair of sliders includes
a first slider arranged on a first side of the central axis and at least partially extends outwardly of the first end of the track member in the outward position, and a second slider arranged on a second side of the central axis and at least partially extends outwardly of the second end of the track member in the outward position.

17 . The hanger of claim 10 , wherein each of the pair of sliders includes
a first portion arranged inside the channel abutting a plate of the track member, and a second portion arranged inside a front opening of the track member and defining at least one step at an interface of the first portion and the second portion to guide the sliding of the slider relative to the track member.
