Stackable Compact Storage Containers

Abstract

Stackable compact storage containers for storing and transporting cosmetic or personal care or other types of items. Each compact comprises a container for holding one or more cosmetic or personal care products, and a cover for sealing the container. Two or more stackable compact storage containers may be stacked by securing the cover of one compact to the container of another compact. Two compacts are stacked or separated by sliding the two compacts in opposite directions, relative to each other.

What We claim is: 
     
         1 . A stackable compact storage container comprising:
 a container ( 12 ) for holding one or more products and a cover ( 11 ) that is hingedly attached to the container so that the cover may rotate between a closed position and an opened position; wherein:
 the cover ( 11 ) comprises:
 a base plate ( 11   a ); 
 a connecting plate ( 11   b ) that rises from a top surface ( 11   e ) of the base plate ( 11   a ), and is formed with an undercut ( 11   g ); and 
 
 the container ( 12 ) comprises:
 a top surface ( 12   a ), a bottom surface ( 12   b ), and a sidewall ( 12   c ) that extends between the top and bottom surfaces of the container. 
 an interior space ( 12   d ) that is able to receive one or more products; 
 one or more flanges ( 12   h,    12   h ′) connected to the lower portion of the sidewall ( 12   c ) that extend inwardly to form one or more tracks ( 12   i,    12   i ′). 
 
   
     
     
         2 . A stack of two or more stackable compact storage containers comprising two or more stackable compact storage containers according to  claim 1 . 
     
     
         3 . A stack of two stackable compact storage containers comprising:
 a first stackable compact storage container ( 10 ) according to  claim 1 ;   a second stackable compact storage container ( 20 ) according to  claim 1 ;   wherein the connecting plate ( 21   b ) of the second stackable compact storage container ( 20 ) is inserted into the one or more tracks ( 12   i,    12   i ′) of the first stackable compact storage container ( 10 ).   
     
     
         4 . A number of stackable compact storage containers according to  claim 1  in a stacked configuration, wherein:
 all adjacent stackable compact storage containers are connected to each other by the connecting plate of a lower stackable compact storage container being inserted into the one or more tracks of an upper stackable compact storage container.
