Claims

Abstract

A storage container for cards having a first, outer container part and a second, inner container part, wherein the two parts have a cuboidal shape and are connected in a corner region via a bearing such that the second part is pivotable between open and closed positions with respect to the first part and is lockable in these positions. In order to connect the container parts, an assembly pin is used as bearing, which passes through coaxially arranged passage openings in the container parts. Alternatively, balls are arranged rotatably in the second part that bear against a side wall of the first part from the inside and, to lock positions, engaging in a bearing slot in the first part, and/or providing a positioning aid in the second part on an inner side and projecting into the interior, acting in a clamping manner on the card(s) and consisting of an elastomer.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A storage container for cards, such as credit cards, identity cards or the like, having a first, outer container part and a second, inner container part,
 wherein the two housing parts have a cuboidal basic shape and are connected in a corner region to a bearing forming a pivot axis S such that the second container part is pivotable between an open position and a closed position with respect to the first container part,   wherein the second container part is lockable with respect to the first container part respectively in the open position and/or in the closed position,   wherein to connect the first, outer container part to the second, inner container part in the corner region, a contoured assembly pin passes through respectively corresponding, coaxially arranged contoured passage openings in the first container part and the second container part,   wherein maximum pivoting of the second container part into the first container part and out of the latter is limited by a geometric contour of the assembly pin cooperating with the contours of the passage openings in the first container part and the second container part.   
     
     
         2 . The storage container according to  claim 1 , wherein the assembly pin is in the form of a double hollow rivet. 
     
     
         3 . The storage container according to  claim 1 , wherein balls are arranged rotatably in the inner, second container part, said balls bearing against a side wall of the first, outer container part from the inside. 
     
     
         4 . The storage container according to  claim 3 , wherein the balls in the second, inner container part are mounted in a spring-loaded manner in, in particular hollow-cylindrical, receiving parts which for their part are fastened in receiving openings in walls of the second, inner container part. 
     
     
         5 . The storage container according to  claim 3 , wherein the first, outer container part has, on an inner side, at least one bearing slot for the engagement of the rotatably mounted balls, with the result that, following the engagement of the rotatably mounted balls in the bearing slot, pivoting of the inner, second container part from the closed position into the open position and back again relative to the first, outer container part is limited and fixed in a force-fitting manner. 
     
     
         6 . The storage container according to  claim 5 , wherein the bearing slot extends, internally, parallel to a longitudinal wall in a peripheral region of the side wall of the outer container part. 
     
     
         7 . The storage container according to  claim 1 , wherein at least two balls are mounted rotatably in the inner, second container part, of which one ball engages in a bearing slot in the first, outer container part in the open position and the other ball engages therein in the closed position. 
     
     
         8 . The storage container according to  claim 1 , wherein the second, inner container part has, on one of its inner sides, at least one positioning aid for the card(s), said positioning aid projecting into the interior of the container part, acting in a clamping manner on the card(s), and comprising an elastomer material. 
     
     
         9 . The storage container according to  claim 8 , wherein the positioning aid for the card(s) is covered with a cap made of a material with a low coefficient of friction. 
     
     
         10 . The storage container according to  claim 4 , wherein the receiving parts for the balls and/or the positioning aids are retained in receiving openings in the second container part, which are located in particular on or in a side wall of the second container part, wherein the receiving opening for the positioning aid is laterally open such that it allows the positioning aid to project into the interior of the second container part. 
     
     
         11 . The storage container according to  claim 1 , wherein the two housing parts each have, with regard to their basic shape, a rectangular top face and a rectangular bottom face as main faces, which match one another in terms of size and are each larger than the area of the card(s) to be received in the storage container. 
     
     
         12 . The storage container according to  claim 11 , wherein the main faces of the first housing part are connected only by a side face extending along one long side of the rectangles, such that the first housing is open on three sides and is C-shaped in cross section in order to receive the second housing part in an unimpeded manner. 
     
     
         13 . The storage container according to  claim 11 , wherein the main faces of the second housing part are connected by a side face extending along one long side of the rectangles and by two side faces extending along the short sides of the rectangles, such that the second housing part is closed on three sides and is in the form of a receiving pocket for the card(s). 
     
     
         14 . The storage container according to  claim 11 , wherein in the open position, the long sides of the respective rectangles of the top faces and bottom faces of the first container part and of the second container part are at an angle of 90° to one another, and in the closed position they are at an angle of 0° to one another. 
     
     
         15 . The storage container according to  claim 3 , wherein of the balls mounted rotatably in the inner, second container part, at least one ball is mounted in the region of one long sides of the rectangles of the inner, second container part and at least one ball is mounted in the region of one short sides of the rectangles of the inner, second container part. 
     
     
         16 . The storage container according to  claim 11 , wherein at least one of the main faces of the inner, second container part have a recess in one long side of the rectangle(s), wherein the recess starts in each case from the two peripheral regions located on the short side of the rectangle of the main face(s). 
     
     
         17 . The storage container according to  claim 1 , wherein the first, outer container part, the second, inner container part and/or the contoured assembly pin consist(s) of metal. 
     
     
         18 . The storage container according to  claim 1 , wherein the first, outer container part and/or the second, inner container part consist(s) of a thermoplastic material. 
     
     
         19 . The storage container according to  claim 9 , wherein the cap is made of a silicone or PTFE strip. 
     
     
         20 . The storage container according to  claim 18 , wherein the thermoplastic material is polyamide (PA) or polyoxymethylene (POM). 
     
     
         21 . The storage container according to  claim 8 , wherein the positioning aid is cylindrical or prismatic.
