Abstract

Various arrangements of a tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system are provided. The system can include a first packaging, a second packaging, and a flap attached with the second packaging. The system can include a peelable closure attachment that includes multiple layers. The layers can include a top layer in contact with an outside surface of the first packaging. No adhesive may be present in a region between the top layer and the first packaging. A first adhesive layer can adhere to the top layer and a middle layer. A second adhesive layer can adhere to the middle layer and the outside surface of the first packaging. The peelable closure attachment can attach with the flap.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system, comprising:
 a first packaging; a second packaging; a flap attached with the second packaging; and a peelable closure attachment comprising a plurality of layers, the plurality of layers comprising:
 a top layer in contact with an outside surface of the first packaging, wherein no adhesive is present in a region between the top layer and the first packaging;
 a first adhesive layer that adheres to the top layer and a middle layer; and
 a second adhesive layer that adheres to the middle layer and the outside surface of the first packaging, wherein
 the peelable closure attachment attaches with the flap.

         2 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 1 , wherein the second packaging is a lid of a box.

         3 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 2 , wherein the second adhesive layer creates a stronger bond than the first adhesive layer.

         4 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 2 , wherein the second adhesive layer permanently bonds with the outside surface of the first packaging.

         5 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 1 , configured such that, when the top layer is peeled away from the first packaging, at least a portion of the middle layer remains attached to the second packaging by the second adhesive layer.

         6 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 5 , wherein the middle layer is made from paper.

         7 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 6 , wherein the peelable closure attachment, when sealed, prevents the second packaging from being opened.

         8 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 1 , wherein the region fully encircles the second adhesive layer.

         9 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 8 , wherein the first packaging is configured to only be removable without damage after the top layer of the peelable closure attachment has been peeled.

         10 . The tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system of claim 9 , wherein after peeling, the top layer cannot readily be reattached to a portion of the middle layer that remains attached to the second packaging.

         11 . A method for using a tamper-evident peelable closure packaging system, the method comprising:
 providing packaging, comprising:
 a packaging housing;
 a closable portion of the packaging housing;
 a flap attached with the closable portion of the packaging housing; and
 a peelable closure attachment comprising a plurality of layers, the plurality of layers comprising:
 a top layer in contact with an outside surface of the packaging housing, wherein no adhesive is present in a region between the top layer and the packaging housing;
 a first adhesive layer that adheres to the top layer and a middle layer; and
 a second adhesive layer that adheres to the middle layer and the outside surface of the packaging housing, wherein
 the peelable closure attachment attaches with the flap;

   peeling the top layer away from the packaging housing, thereby causing permanent separation among the plurality of layers; removing a portion of the peelable closure attachment that comprises the top layer; and after removing the portion, opening the closable portion of the packaging housing.

         12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the closable portion of the packaging housing is a lid of a box.

         13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the second adhesive layer creates a stronger bond than the first adhesive layer.

         14 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the second adhesive layer permanently bonds with the outside surface of the packaging housing.

         15 . The method of claim 11 , configured such that, when the top layer is peeled away from the packaging housing, at least part of the middle layer remains attached to the packaging housing by the second adhesive layer.

         16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the middle layer is made from paper.

         17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the peelable closure attachment, when sealed, prevents the closable portion of the packaging housing from being opened.

         18 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the region fully encircles the second adhesive layer.

         19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the packaging housing is configured to only be removable without damage after the top layer of the peelable closure attachment has been peeled.

         20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein after peeling, the top layer cannot readily be reattached to a portion of the middle layer that remains attached to the packaging housing.
