Abstract

A refrigerator may include a first tray assembly forming a part of an ice making cell, a second tray assembly forming another part of the ice making cell, a heater provided adjacent to at least one of the first or second tray assemblies, a driver connected to the second tray assembly, and a control unit to control the heater and the driver. The driving unit includes a cam capable of being connected to the second tray assembly, and a path in which a lever moves is formed inside the cam.

1 . An ice maker comprising:
 a first tray assembly configured to form a first portion of a cell;   a second tray assembly configured to form a second portion of the cell, the first and second portions configured to form a space in which liquid is phase-changed to ice; and   a driver configured to move the second tray assembly,   wherein the driver includes:   a cam, and   a plurality of levers,   wherein the cam includes a plurality of cam surfaces for the plurality of levers.   
     
     
         2 . The ice maker of  claim 1 , wherein the cam further includes a rotation shaft and a gear formed on one surface of the cam. 
     
     
         3 . The ice maker of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cam surfaces includes a first cam surface and a second cam surface,
 the plurality of levers includes a first lever that moves along the first cam surface and a second lever that moves along the second cam surface.   
     
     
         4 . The ice maker of  claim 3 , wherein the first lever is connected to a full ice taction lever. 
     
     
         5 . The ice maker of  claim 3 , wherein the first cam surface includes a cam groove. 
     
     
         6 . The ice maker of  claim 5 , wherein the driver further comprises a blocking member that selectively blocks the cam groove so that the first lever moving along the first cam surface is not inserted into the cam groove. 
     
     
         7 . The ice maker of  claim 6 , wherein the blocking member includes a coupling part rotatably coupled to a rotation shaft of the cam. 
     
     
         8 . The ice maker of  claim 3 , wherein the second cam surface includes a cam groove. 
     
     
         9 . An ice maker comprising:
 a first tray assembly configured to form a first portion of a cell;   a second tray assembly configured to form a second portion of the cell, the first and second portions configured to form a space in which liquid is phase-changed to ice; and   a driver configured to move the second tray assembly,   wherein the driver includes:   a motor, and   a cam rotated by the motor,   wherein after the ice is separated from the cell, the motor drives the cam in a first cam direction until the second tray assembly moves to a liquid supply position.   
     
     
         10 . The ice maker of  claim 9 , wherein the motor additionally drives the cam in the first cam direction until the second tray assembly moves to an ice making position. 
     
     
         11 . The refrigerator of  claim 10 , wherein the motor additionally drives the cam in the first cam direction after the second tray assembly moves to the ice making position. 
     
     
         12 . The ice maker of  claim 9 , wherein after an ice making is completed, the motor drives the cam in a second direction until the second tray assembly moves to an ice separation position. 
     
     
         13 . The ice maker of  claim 12 , wherein the motor additionally drives the cam in the second direction after the second tray assembly moves to the ice separation position. 
     
     
         14 . An ice maker comprising:
 a first tray assembly configured to form a first portion of a cell;   a second tray assembly configured to form a second portion of the cell, the first and second portions configured to form a space in which liquid is phase-changed to ice; and   a driver configured to move the second tray assembly,   wherein the driver includes:   a motor,   a cam rotated by the motor and having a cam surface with a cam groove,   a lever moves along the cam surface, and   a blocking member that selectively blocks the cam groove.   
     
     
         15 . The ice maker of  claim 14 , wherein the lever is connected to a full ice taction lever. 
     
     
         16 . The ice maker of  claim 14 , wherein the blocking member includes a coupling part rotatably coupled to a rotation shaft of the cam. 
     
     
         17 . The ice maker of  claim 16 , wherein the blocking member includes a support protrusion provided outside the coupling part to restrict an operation of the lever. 
     
     
         18 . A refrigerator comprising:
 a cabinet including a storage chamber;   a door that opens and closes the storage chamber; and   an ice maker of  claim 1 .   
     
     
         19 . A refrigerator comprising:
 a cabinet including a storage chamber;   a door that opens and closes the storage chamber; and   an ice maker of  claim 9 .   
     
     
         20 . A refrigerator comprising:
 a cabinet including a storage chamber;   a door that opens and closes the storage chamber; and   an ice maker of  claim 14 .
