Structured bed skirt for an adjustable bed

Abstract

A bed skirt for an adjustable bed is provided. The bed skirt has a fitted base configured to at least partially wrap around a foundation of the adjustable bed and a top portion configured to cover a top portion of the foundation. An cut-out has a plurality of horizontally positioned elastic strips that define a series of sections located on the top panel and a plurality of vertically integrated fasteners positioned proximate each of the left side and the right side of the fitted base a horizontally integrated fastener positioned proximate the foot portion, and has adjustable right, left and foot drop panels.

1 . A bed skirt for an adjustable bed, the bed skirt comprising:
 a fitted base configured to at least partially wrap around a foundation of the adjustable bed, wherein the fitted base comprises a head portion, a foot portion, a left side and a right side, and wherein the fitted based comprises:
 a top portion configured to cover a top portion of the foundation, wherein the top panel comprises a cut-out having a plurality of horizontally positioned elastic strips that define a series of sections located on the foundation, wherein the elastic straps are configured to provide pliability during adjustment of the adjustable bed; 
 a plurality of vertically integrated fasteners positioned proximate each of the left side and the right side of the fitted base, wherein the vertically integrated fasteners are spaced apart at a predetermined distance on the left side and the right side; 
 a horizontally integrated fastener positioned proximate the foot portion; 
   a right drop panel configured to connect to one of the vertically integrated fasteners on the right side;   a left drop panel configured to connect to one of the vertically integrated fasteners on the right side;   a foot drop panel configured to connect to the horizontally integrated fastener foot portion;   wherein each of the right drop panel, left drop panel and foot drop panel are height adjustable.   
     
     
         2 . The bed skirt of  claim 1 , wherein the fasteners comprise male fasteners on the fitted base, and female fasteners on the panels, and wherein:
 the right drop panel comprises female fasteners that are spaced apart congruently to the predetermined distances of the male fasteners of the right side of the fitted base;   the left drop panel comprises female fasteners that are spaced apart congruently to the predetermined distances of the male fasteners of the right side of the fitted base.   
     
     
         3 . The bed skirt of  claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of horizontally positioned elastic strips are attached to an end of each section on one side of the elastic strip, and an end of the subsequent section on another side of the elastic strip. 
     
     
         4 . The bed skirt of  claim 3 , wherein the elastic straps are positioned on a flat portion of the adjustable bed. 
     
     
         5 . The bed skirt of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of vertically integrated fasteners comprises at least two rows of fasteners configured to attach to the other of the left panel or right panel on a first of the two rows or the second of the two rows to adjust a height of the left panel drop portion or the right panel drop portion, and wherein the horizontally integrated fastener comprise at least two rows of fasteners configured to adjust a height of the foot panel drop portion. 
     
     
         6 . The bed skirt of  claim 1 , wherein the left panel, right panel, and foot panel drop portions further comprise at least one pocket;
 a plurality of structured panels dimensioned to fit within the at least one pocket of the left panel, right panel, and foot panel drop portions;   wherein a fabric layer on the left panel, the right panel and the foot panel is foldable inwardly and to create the at least one pocket in each of the left panel, the right panel and the foot panel drop portions.   
     
     
         7 . The bed skirt of  claim 6 , wherein the plurality of structured panels comprises seams to allow a user to adjust a size of the structured panels. 
     
     
         8 . The bed skirt of  claim 1 , wherein the structured panel is formed of a foam core board. 
     
     
         9 . The bed skirt of  claim 1 , wherein the first plurality of fasteners, second plurality of fasteners, or both, are fastener are hook and loop fasteners. 
     
     
         10 . The bed skirt of  claim 5 , wherein the at least one pockets comprises an open end configured to encase the structured panel.
