Abstract

Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion comprising an interior portion, an exterior portion, a toe portion edge, and a back wall portion. The golf club head also includes a face portion, a filler material in the interior portion, a first set of mass portions coupled to the back wall portion, and a second set of mass portions in the interior portion proximate to the toe portion edge. A maximum distance in the interior portion between an inner surface of the face portion and an inner surface of the back wall portion is located between the first set of mass portions and the second set of mass portions. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

3 . A golf club head as defined in claim 1 , wherein a total mass of the filler material is greater than or equal to 15 grams and less than or equal to 35 grams.

4 . A golf club head as defined in claim 1 , wherein a total mass of the filler material is greater than or equal to 5% and less than or equal to 19% of the total mass of the golf club head.

5 . A golf club head as defined in claim 1 , wherein the first mass portion comprises a cylindrical mass portion.

6 . A golf club head as defined in claim 1 , wherein the second mass portion is in the interior portion of the body portion.

7 . A golf club head as defined in claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the second mass portion is configured to correspond or substantially correspond to a shape of a portion of the toe portion edge.

         8 . A golf club head comprising:
a body portion comprising an interior portion, an exterior portion, a toe portion with a toe portion edge, a heel portion with a heel portion edge, a front portion, a back portion with a back wall portion, a top portion with a top portion edge, and a sole portion with a sole portion edge; a face portion coupled to the front portion; a filler material in the interior portion, a first set of mass portions coupled to the back wall portion, the first set of mass portions comprising a total mass of greater than or equal to 5 grams and less than or equal to 11 grams; and a second set of mass portions in the interior portion proximate to the toe portion edge, the second set of mass portions comprising a total mass of greater than or equal to 10 grams and less than or equal to 20 grams, wherein a maximum distance in the interior portion between an inner surface of the face portion and an inner surface of the back wall portion is located between the first set of mass portions and the second set of mass portions, and wherein the maximum distance in the interior portion is greater than or equal to 0.4 inch (10.16 mm) and less than or equal to 0.9 inch (22.86 mm).

9 . A golf club head as defined in claim 8 , wherein the first set of mass portions comprises a first mass shape and the second set of mass portions comprises a second mass shape, and wherein the first and second mass shapes are different shapes.

10 . A golf club head as defined in claim 8 , wherein the first set of mass portions comprises a plurality of separate mass portions.

11 . A golf club head as defined in claim 8 , wherein the second set of mass portions comprises a plurality of separate mass portions.

12 . A golf club head as defined in claim 8 , wherein the total mass of the second set of mass portions is greater than the total mass of the first set of mass portions.
