Abstract

A system and method including operations of generating an ultrasound image screen including an ultrasound image,, the ultrasound image screen including a first user selection element configured to receive a first user input for selecting a blood vessel for display in the ultrasound image. The system and method can further include generating a parameter input screen. The parameter input screen can include a second user selection element configured to receive a second user input for selecting an angle of insertion of a medical device, a third user selection element configured to receive a third user input for increasing or decreasing a minimum dwell length of the medical device, and a graphical representation of the medical device depicting a selected angle of insertion and a selected minimum dwell length of the medical device.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system comprising:
 one or more logic modules stored within a non-transitory storage medium, the one or more logic modules, when executed by one or more processors, perform operations including:
 generating an ultrasound image screen including an ultrasound image, the ultrasound image screen including a first user selection element configured to receive a first user input for selecting a blood vessel for display in the ultrasound image;
 generating a parameter input screen, comprising:
 a second user selection element configured to receive a second user input for selecting an angle of insertion of a medical device;
 a third user selection element configured to receive a third user input for increasing or decreasing a minimum dwell length of the medical device; and
 a graphical representation of the medical device depicting a selected angle of insertion and a selected minimum dwell length of the medical device;

 determining a depth of a selected blood vessel; and
 determining a selection of medical devices that satisfy conditions based on one or both of the selected angle of insertion and the selected minimum dwell length.

         2 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the system is configured to automatically toggle between the ultrasound image screen and the parameter input screen upon a selection of options by a user.

         3 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the ultrasound image screen and the parameter input screen include a toggle user selection element configured to navigate between the ultrasound image screen and the parameter input screen.

         4 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the operations further include generating a catheter options screen.

         5 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the medical device is a catheter, and wherein the selection of medical devices is a selection of catheters.

         6 . The system according to claim 5 , wherein determining a selection of catheters comprises calculating a travel length of the catheter to a target vessel.

         7 . The system according to claim 6 , wherein the operations further comprise depicting the catheter overlayed onto the target vessel in the ultrasound image.

         8 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the ultrasound image is a dynamic ultrasound image.

         9 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the ultrasound image screen is configured to display a depth of a selected blood vessel.

         10 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the graphical representation of the medical device is dynamically adjustable on the parameter input screen based on the third user input.

         11 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the ultrasound image screen and the parameter input screen are configured for display on a console operably connected to an ultrasound probe.

         12 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein generating the ultrasound image screen comprises generating a plurality of minimum catheter length icons depicting a minimum catheter length necessary to satisfy a minimum catheter dwell length at a plurality of corresponding depths.
