Abstract

A burner module for a cooking hob including a support frame for a cooking vessel, a burner crown with a burner cap configured to shape and position a flame of the burner module, and an overflow bowl with a transition rim for forming a transition to an upper surface of a cover plate of a cooking hob. An air duct is formed between the burner crown and the overflow bowl for admitting primary air for the flame of the burner module. A cross-section of the air duct for the primary air is arranged at least partially below the upper surface of the cover plate.

Claims

2 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein an upper duct wall of the air duct for the primary air is arranged in a plane with the transition rim of the overflow bowl.

3 . The burner module according to claim 2 , wherein the upper duct wall of the air duct for the primary air is formed by the burner crown.

4 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein a lower duct wall of the air duct for the primary air is formed by the overflow bowl.

5 . The burner module according to claim 4 , wherein the overflow bowl has a gutter which is arranged between the transition rim and the lower duct wall, wherein the gutter is arranged lower relative to the upper surface of the cover plate than the transition rim and the lower duct wall.

6 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein the air duct is formed circumferentially around the burner crown.

7 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein a surface normal of an inlet opening from the air duct for the primary air has an upwardly pointing vector portion.

8 . The burner module according to claim 7 , wherein the surface normal of the inlet opening is aligned perpendicular to the cover plate in use.

9 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein an inlet opening from the air duct for the primary air has a first cross section area and a narrowest duct section of the air duct for the primary air below the burner crown has a second cross section area,
wherein the first cross section area is larger than the second cross section area.

10 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein an inlet opening is formed by the air duct for the primary air between the burner crown and the support frame.

11 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein the support frame comprises a circumferential ring to which a plurality of support ribs are attached,
wherein the circumferential ring is arranged within the overflow bowl.

12 . The burner module according to claim 11 , wherein
the circumferential ring is arranged below a plane of the transition rim of the overflow bowl, up to a maximum adjacent thereto.

13 . The burner module according to claim 1 , wherein the support frame and the burner crown are removable and the overflow bowl is fixed to the cover plate.

14 . A cooking hob for a gas cooking hob comprising:
a cover plate with an upper surface; at least one burner module according to claim 1 , of which a transition is formed by means of the transition rim of the overflow bowl to the upper surface of the cover plate; and a number of gas burners corresponding to a number of said at least one burner modules, which is assigned to a respective opening in the cover plate and can be supplied with primary air via the air duct of the respective burner module.

15 . The cooking hob according to claim 14 , wherein
between the upper surface of the cover plate and the overflow bowl, an elevation is formed by means of the transition rim with a direction of extension out of the upper surface, wherein the cover plate and the overflow bowl are formed in one piece.

16 . The burner module according to claim 12 , wherein a lower duct wall of the air duct for the primary air is formed by the overflow bowl, wherein the overflow bowl has a gutter which is arranged between the transition rim and the lower duct wall, and wherein the circumferential ring is arranged in the gutter.

         17 . A gas cooking hob, comprising:
a cover plate having an upper surface; and a burner module comprising:
 a support frame configured to support a cooking vessel thereon;
a burner crown with a burner cap configured to shape and position a flame of the burner module, said burner crown having a first duct wall; and
