Abstract

An three-dimensional geometric shaped case protection accessory includes a layer of durable, flexible fabric shaped to encase a ski or snowboard tip. The accessory has a proximal open end for introduction of the ski or snowboard tip and a closed distal end for covering the distal end of the ski or snowboard tip. The fabric is of sufficient length to cover from the distal end of a ski or snowboard tip to a portion of the ski or snowboard adjacent to the tip. A compression mechanism in the encasement allows for the accessory to be readily secured to and removed from the ski or snowboard tip without interfering with the application or removal process. The fabric and compression mechanism are sufficiently durable to withstand environmental elements and physical impacts during use, while providing flexibility and elasticity to conform to various ski and snowboard tip designs.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

1 . A protection accessory for at least one ski or snowboard and said at least one ski or snowboard having a distal end and a proximal end and said distal end of said at least one ski or snowboard having at least one tip at said distal end of said at least one ski or snowboard tip and said protection accessory comprising:
 a) a three-dimensional geometric shaped case made from at least one layer of durable, flexible fabric shaped to encase at least one ski or snowboard tip wherein said three-dimensional geometric shaped case forms a sock and said sock having a proximal open end for introduction of the at least one ski or snowboard tip and a closed distal end for covering the distal end of said at least one ski or snowboard tip and said closed distal end having padding internal to said three-dimensional geometric shaped case; b) said flexible fabric and said padding is of sufficient length to cover from said distal end of said at least one ski or snowboard tip to a portion of the ski or snowboard distal from said tip and said portion of the ski distal from the proximal end of said at least one ski or snowboard; and c) an at least one compression mechanism attached to the three-dimensional geometric shaped case such that said at least one compression mechanism allows for the three-dimensional geometric shaped case to be readily secured to and removed from the ski or snowboard tip without the mechanism interfering with the application or removal process.

2 . The protection accessory of claim 1 , wherein the fabric is a woven material capable of providing cushioning and scratch resistance to the ski or snowboard tip.

3 . The protection accessory of claim 2 , wherein the fabric is treated with a water-resistant coating to protect against moisture and snow.

4 . The protection accessory of claim 1 , further comprising a reinforced edge along the open end of said fabric layer, said reinforced edge providing additional durability and resistance to wear during repeated use.

5 . The protection accessory of claim 1 , wherein the at least one compression mechanism includes sufficient compression capabilities to secure the accessory to at least one ski and snowboard tips of various sizes and shapes.

6 . The protection accessory of claim 1 , wherein the flexible fabric includes sufficient padding for additional impact absorption.

7 . The protection accessory of claim 6 , wherein the padding is located on an interior surface of the fabric layer.

8 . The protection accessory of claim 1 , wherein the fabric is designed with aesthetically pleasing patterns, colors or embellishments such as patches to enhance the visual appeal of the accessory while maintaining its functional characteristics.

9 . The protection accessory of claim 1 , wherein an exterior surface of the fabric exhibits a rugged texture to improve grip and prevent the accessory from slipping off unintentionally.

10 . The protection accessory of claim 9 , wherein the rugged texture is combined with the water-resistant coating to provide a dual-action surface that repels water and provides improved grip.

11 . A method of protecting at least one ski or snowboard tip, comprising:
providing a protection accessory comprising a layer of durable, flexible fabric shaped to encase a ski or snowboard tip; aligning the protection accessory with the ski or snowboard tip; and sliding the protection accessory over the ski or snowboard tip until the tip is fully encased.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the protection accessory further comprises an at least one compression mechanism that allows for the accessory to be readily secured to and removed from the ski or snowboard tip.

13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the at least one compression mechanism includes sufficient compression capabilities to secure the accessory to ski and snowboard tips of various sizes and shapes.

14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the flexible fabric of the protection accessory is treated with a water-resistant coating to protect against moisture and snow.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein an exterior surface of the flexible fabric exhibits a rugged texture to improve grip and prevent the accessory from slipping off unintentionally.

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the rugged texture is combined with the water-resistant coating to provide a dual-action surface that repels water and provides improved grip.

17 . A system for protecting and identifying ski or snowboard tip, comprising:
an protection accessory comprising a layer of durable, flexible fabric shaped to encase said ski or snowboard tip; and a visual identifier applied to an exterior surface of the protection accessory.

18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the visual identifier comprises a pattern, color, or logo applied to the exterior surface of the protection accessory.

19 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the visual identifier is customizable by a user to facilitate easy identification of their ski or snowboard equipment.

20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the protection accessory further comprises a water-resistant coating applied to the flexible fabric layer, and wherein an exterior surface of the flexible fabric exhibits a rugged texture to improve grip and prevent the accessory from slipping off unintentionally.
