Hutch display

Abstract

The invention is directed to a hutch display having a first side wall, a second side wall, a front panel having a plurality of first shelf components and a back panel having a plurality of second shelf components. The first shelf components and second shelf components form shelves for the hutch. The first and second side walls of the hutch include a plurality of arms that extend toward the front of the hutch and include a slot at a rear portion of the arm. The first shelf components includes a foldable portion that is positioned in the slot at the end of the arm on each side wall. The upper edge of each arm supports a lower surface of the first shelf component. The second shelf component includes a tab that cooperates with a slot in the first shelf component.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A hutch display comprising:
 a first side wall having a first slot;   a second side wall; and,   a first shelf component for a first shelf, the first shelf component for the first shelf having a support surface extending between the first side wall and the second side wall from a front edge to a rear edge and having a rear tab with a first portion configured to fit in the first slot of the first side wall.   
     
     
         2 . The hutch display of  claim 1  wherein the second side wall includes a first slot aligned with the first slot of the first side wall and wherein the rear tab having a second portion configured to fit in the first slot of the second side wall. 
     
     
         3 . The hutch display of  claim 2  wherein the first side wall includes a first arm extending from the first slot to support the first shelf component of the first shelf and the second side wall includes a first arm extending from the first slot to support the first shelf component of the first shelf. 
     
     
         4 . The hutch display of  claim 1  wherein the first shelf component for the first shelf includes a rear slot proximate the rear edge. 
     
     
         5 . The hutch display of  claim 4  further comprising a second shelf component for the first shelf, the second shelf component for the first shelf having a support surface having a rear edge and a front edge, the second shelf component for the first shelf including a tab proximate the front edge of the second shelf component configured to engage the rear slot of the support surface of the first shelf component for the first shelf. 
     
     
         6 . The hutch display of  claim 1  wherein the first side wall includes a second slot and a first shelf component for a second shelf, the first shelf component for the second shelf having a support surface extending between the first side wall and the second side wall from a front edge to a rear edge and having a rear tab with a first portion configured to fit in the second slot of the first side wall. 
     
     
         7 . The hutch display of  claim 6  wherein the first shelf component for the second shelf includes a rear slot proximate the rear edge of the support surface of the first shelf component for the second shelf. 
     
     
         8 . The hutch display of  claim 7  further comprising a second shelf component for the second shelf, the second shelf component for the second shelf having a support surface having a rear edge and a front edge, the second shelf component for the second shelf including a tab proximate the front edge of the second shelf component for the second shelf configured to engage the rear slot of the support surface of the first shelf component for the second shelf. 
     
     
         9 . The hutch display of  claim 8  wherein the first shelf component for the first shelf and the first shelf component for the second shelf are part of a front panel extending between the first side wall and the second side wall. 
     
     
         10 . The hutch display of  claim 9  wherein the second shelf component for the first shelf and the second shelf component for the second shelf are part of a rear panel extending between the first side wall and the second side wall. 
     
     
         11 . The hutch display of  claim 1  wherein the first portion of the rear tab of the first shelf component for the first shelf includes a first slot for engaging the first slot of the first side wall. 
     
     
         12 . The hutch display of  claim 5  wherein the first shelf component for the first shelf includes a first front wall portion extending upward proximate the front edge of the support surface of the first shelf component for the first shelf. 
     
     
         13 . The hutch display of  claim 12  wherein the second shelf component for the first shelf includes a rear portion extending upward proximate the rear edge of the support surface of the second shelf component for the first shelf. 
     
     
         14 . The hutch display of  claim 10  wherein the first side wall, the second side wall, the front panel and the rear panel are part of a single blank of material. 
     
     
         15 . The hutch display of  claim 14  wherein the blank of material is formed from corrugated paper. 
     
     
         16 . A hutch display comprising:
 a first side wall having a first plurality of slots for securing first shelf components and a first plurality of support arms, each support arm extending from one of the plurality of first slots in the first side wall;   a second side wall having a second plurality of slots for securing first shelf components and a second plurality of support arms, each support arm extending from one of the plurality of second slots in the second side wall;   a front panel having a plurality of first shelf components, each first shelf component of the plurality of first shelf components having a first tab portion configured to engage one of the first plurality of slots in the first side wall and a second tab portion configured to engage one of the second plurality of slots in the second side wall.   
     
     
         17 . The hutch display of  claim 16  further comprising a rear panel having a plurality of second shelf components, each of the plurality of second shelf components including a tab configured to engage a slot in one of the plurality of first shelf components. 
     
     
         18 . The hutch display of  claim 17  wherein each of the plurality of first shelf components includes a front wall portion and each of the plurality of second shelf components includes a rear wall portion. 
     
     
         19 . The hutch display of  claim 17  wherein the first side wall, the second side wall, the front panel and the rear panel are part of a single blank of material. 
     
     
         20 . A hutch display comprising:
 a first side wall;   a second side wall; and,   a first shelf component for a first shelf, the first shelf component for the first shelf having a support surface extending between the first side wall and the second side wall from a front edge to a rear edge and having a rear tab with a first portion having a first slot to engage the first side wall and a second portion having a second slot configured to engage the second side wall.
