Abstract
A laundry treating apparatus including a cabinet including a top cover having a laundry inlet defined therein, a tub, a first storage that is at least partially exposed to the outside of the cabinet and stores first detergent therein, a second storage that is disposed inside the cabinet and stores second detergent therein, the second storage being in communication with the tub, a detergent pump disposed inside the cabinet, the detergent pump being connected to the first storage and allows the first detergent to flow, a detergent pipe that connects the detergent pump with the second storage and guides the first detergent to the second storage, and a water supply pipe that guides water supplied from a water supply source to the second storage. The first detergent and the second detergent are mixed with water inside the second storage and discharged to a tub inlet.

24 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
a cabinet including a top cover having a laundry inlet; a tub located in the cabinet, the tub being configured to store water therein, the tub having a tub inlet facing the laundry inlet; a first storage at least partially exposed to outside of the cabinet, the first storage being configured to store first detergent therein; a second storage located in the cabinet, the second storage being configured to store second detergent therein, the second storage being in communication with the tub; a detergent pump located in the cabinet, the detergent pump being connected to the first storage to allow the first detergent to flow; a detergent pipe connecting the detergent pump to the second storage, the detergent pipe being configured to guide the first detergent to the second storage; and a water supply pipe configured to connect a water supply source to the second storage to guide water supplied from the water supply source to the second storage, wherein the second storage is configured such that the first detergent and the second detergent are mixed with water inside the second storage and discharged to the tub inlet.
25 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the first storage, the second storage, and the detergent pump are located rearwardly of the tub.
26 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the top cover includes:
a door configured to open and close the laundry inlet; and a rear portion located at the rear of the door, the rear portion defining a cover space, wherein the first storage is located on the rear portion, and wherein the second storage and the detergent pump are located in the cover space.
27 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the second storage and the detergent pump are located inside the top cover and aligned along a width direction of the cabinet.
28 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 27 , further comprising a printed circuit board (PCB) module,
wherein the detergent pump is located at a first side of the second storage along the width direction of the cabinet, and wherein the PCB module in located at a second side of the second storage along the width direction of the cabinet.
29 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 28 , further comprising a water level detector configured to measure a water level of the tub, the water level detector being located at the second side of the second storage along the width direction of the cabinet,
wherein the detergent pump, the second storage, the water level detector, and the PCB module are aligned along the width direction of the cabinet.
30 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 27 , further comprising a pump control module connected to the detergent pump, the pump control module being located at the first side of the second storage along the width direction of the cabinet.
31 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 30 , wherein the detergent pump and the pump control module are arranged in a vertical direction of the cabinet at the first side of the second storage along the width direction of the cabinet.
32 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 27 , wherein the detergent pump is provided in plurality along the width direction of the cabinet.
33 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , further comprising:
a pump control module connected to the detergent pump, the pump control module being located at a first side of the second storage along a width direction of the cabinet; a printed circuit board (PCB) module, the PCB module being located at a second side of the second storage along the width direction of the cabinet, wherein the top cover defines a cover space, and wherein the second storage is located in the cover space.
34 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 33 , wherein the detergent pump is seated on the pump control module.
35 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the detergent pump and the second storage are aligned along a width direction of the cabinet, and
wherein the detergent pump includes:
an inlet port configured to receive the first detergent; and
an outlet port configured to discharge the first detergent, the inlet port and the outlet port being arranged parallel to the width direction of the cabinet.
36 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , further comprising an outflow pipe connecting the first storage to the detergent pump,
wherein the detergent pump includes an inlet port coupled to the outflow pipe, the inlet port including:
a circumferential wall defining a hollow portion;
a suction hole extending through the circumferential wall, the suction hole being in communication with the hollow portion; and
a groove extending along the circumferential wall from the suction hole toward one end of the circumferential wall such that the first detergent received from the outflow pipe is supplied to the detergent pump along the groove, through the suction hole, and into the hollow portion.
37 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the first storage includes a storage body configured to store the first detergent therein, the storage body having a detergent valve configured to be opened when the storage body is attached to the cabinet and configured to be closed when the storage body is detached from the cabinet.
38 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 37 , wherein the first storage further includes a mounting portion located in the top cover, the mounting portion having a fastening pipe configured to be inserted into the storage body,
wherein the laundry treating apparatus further comprises an outflow pipe connected to the fastening pipe, wherein the storage body is configured to be attachable to and detachable from the mounting portion, and wherein the detergent pump is configured to receive the first detergent via the outflow pipe.
39 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 38 , wherein the detergent pump is located under the first storage in a width direction of the cabinet relative to the second storage.
40 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , further comprising a water supply valve configured to connect the water supply source to the water supply pipe.

The laundry treating apparatus of claim 40 , further comprising a water supply module connected to the water supply valve and the second storage, the water supply module including the water supply pipe, the water supply module having more water outlet holes for water to flow out to the second storage than water inlet holes for water to be introduced from the water supply valve.
42 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 24 , wherein the second storage includes:
a receiving casing including a first chamber; a drawer configured to accommodate the second detergent therein, the drawer being extendable from the first chamber, and wherein the second storage is configured such that the first detergent introduced via the detergent pipe and water introduced via the water supply pipe are mixed with the second detergent in the first chamber and discharged into the tub.
43 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 42 , wherein the receiving casing further includes a second chamber connected to the detergent pipe to receive the first detergent therein, the second chamber and the first chamber being in communication with each other.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
