Abstract
A yoga mat having a carpet is disclosed. The carpet includes a body portion arranged substantially centrally to the carpet and a pair of side wings extending outwardly of the body portion in a lateral direction and disposed on opposite sides of the body portion. Each of the pair of side wings includes a convex shape and each of the pair of side wings is adapted to be displaced between an extended position and a folded position. In the folded position, the side wings are arranged at least partially overlapping the body portion.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A yoga mat, comprising:
a carpet having
a body portion arranged substantially centrally to the carpet, and
a pair of side wings extending outwardly of the body portion in a lateral direction and disposed on opposite sides of the body portion,
wherein each of the pair of side wings includes a convex shape and each of the pair of side wings is adapted to be displaced between an extended position and a folded position, wherein in the folded position, the side wings are arranged at least partially overlapping the body portion.
2 . The yoga mat of claim 1 , wherein an apex of each of the pair of side wings is arranged proximate to a first lateral edge of the carpet relative to a second lateral edge.
3 . The yoga mat of claim 2 , wherein a width of each of the pair of side wings at the associated apex is between 21 inches to 25 inches.
4 . The yoga mat of claim 2 , wherein a distance of each apex from the first lateral edge in a longitudinal direction of the carpet is between 14 inches to 18 inches.
5 . The yoga mat of claim 1 , wherein the body portion includes a rectangular shape and a pair of fold lines extending in a longitudinal direction, separating the pair of side wings from the body portion.
6 . The yoga mat of claim 5 , wherein the pair of side wings are adapted to be folded to the folded position along the pair of fold lines.
7 . The yoga mat of claim 1 , wherein the carpet further includes a pair of longitudinal edges extending between a pair of lateral edges, wherein the pair of longitudinal edges includes a pair of curved edges.
8 . The yoga mat of claim 7 , wherein
a first side wing of the pair of side wings extends from the first longitudinal edge to the body portion in the lateral direction, and a second side wing of the pair of side wings extends from the second longitudinal edge to the body portion in the lateral direction.
9 . The yoga mat of claim 8 further including a towel removably coupled to the carpet and arranged covering the carpet.
10 . The yoga mat of claim 9 , wherein longitudinal edges of the towel extend beyond the longitudinal edges of the carpet in the lateral direction.
11 . The yoga mat of claim 10 , wherein a distance between the longitudinal edges of the towel and the longitudinal edges of the carpet is between of 1 to 3 inches.
12 . A yoga mat, comprising:
a carpet having
a body portion arranged substantially centrally to the carpet, and
a pair of side wings extending outwardly of the body portion in a lateral direction and disposed on opposite sides of the body portion,
wherein each of the pair of side wings includes a convex shape and each of the pair of side wings is adapted to be displaced between an extended position and a folded position, wherein in the folded position, the side wings are arranged at least partially overlapping the body portion; and a towel removably coupled to the carpet and arranged covering the carpet.
13 . The yoga mat of claim 12 , wherein an apex of each of the pair of side wings is arranged proximate to a first lateral edge of the carpet relative to a second lateral edge.
14 . The yoga mat of claim 13 , wherein a width of each of the pair of side wings at the associated apex is between 21 inches to 25 inches.
15 . The yoga mat of claim 13 , wherein a distance of each apex from the first lateral edge in a longitudinal direction of the carpet is between 14 inches to 18 inches.
16 . The yoga mat of claim 12 , wherein the body portion includes a rectangular shape and a pair of fold lines extending in a longitudinal direction, separating the pair of side wings from the body portion.
17 . The yoga mat of claim 16 , wherein the pair of side wings are adapted to be folded to the folded position along the pair of fold lines.
18 . The yoga mat of claim 12 , wherein the carpet includes a pair of longitudinal edges extending between a pair of lateral edges, wherein the pair of longitudinal edges includes a pair of curved edges.
19 . The yoga mat of claim 18 , wherein
a first side wing of the pair of side wings extends from the first longitudinal edge to the body portion in the lateral direction, and a second side wing of the pair of side wings extends from the second longitudinal edge to the body portion in the lateral direction.
20 . The yoga mat of claim 18 , wherein longitudinal edges of the towel extend beyond the longitudinal edges of the carpet in the lateral direction.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
