Abstract
An egg-peeling device is provided. The device is comprised of a generally cone-shaped base that may receive an egg into an opening on the top surface of the base. Extending from the top surface of the base at the bottom of the opening is a pointed member that may poke a hole in the shell of an egg, allowing the egg to be boiled more evenly and the shell of the egg to be peeled more easily after boiling.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An egg-peeling device comprising:
a base comprised of a bottom surface and a top surface; an opening positioned on the top surface; and a pointed member positioned within the opening.
2 . The egg-peeling device of claim 1 , wherein the base is comprised of a cone shape.
3 . The egg-peeling device of claim 1 , wherein the bottom surface is flat.
4 . The egg-peeling device of claim 1 , wherein the bottom surface is comprised of a rubber.
5 . The egg-peeling device of claim 3 , wherein the rubber is comprised of a textured rubber.
6 . The egg-peeling device of claim 1 , wherein the base is comprised of a food-safe plastic material.
7 . An egg-peeling device comprising:
a base comprised of a bottom surface and a top surface; an opening positioned on the top surface, the opening comprised of a beveled edge; and a pointed member positioned within the opening.
8 . The egg-peeling device of claim 7 , wherein the base is comprised of a cone shape.
9 . The egg-peeling device of claim 7 , wherein the bottom surface is flat.
10 . The egg-peeling device of claim 7 , wherein the bottom surface is comprised of a rubber.
11 . The egg-peeling device of claim 10 , wherein the rubber is comprised of a textured rubber.
12 . The egg-peeling device of claim 7 , wherein the base is comprised of a food-safe plastic material.
13 . A method of using an egg-peeling device, the method comprising the following steps:
providing an egg-peeling device comprised of a base comprised of an opening and a pointed member positioned within the opening; placing the base on a surface; placing a thick end of an egg into the opening such that the pointed member penetrates the thick end to create an egg opening; hard-boiling the egg; placing the egg back into the opening such that the pointed member receives the egg opening; and peeling a shell from the egg.
14 . The method of using an egg-peeling device of claim 13 , wherein the base is comprised of a cone shape.
15 . The method of using an egg-peeling device of claim 13 , wherein the bottom surface is flat.
16 . The method of using an egg-peeling device of claim 13 , wherein the bottom surface is comprised of a rubber.
17 . The method of using an egg-peeling device of claim 16 , wherein the rubber is comprised of a textured rubber.
18 . The method of using an egg-peeling device of claim 13 , wherein the base is comprised of a food-safe plastic material.
19 . The method of using an egg-peeling device of claim 13 , wherein the opening is comprised of a beveled edge.
20 . The method of using an egg-peeling device of claim 13 , wherein the base is comprised of a food-safe plastic.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
