System and Method for Generating Vibrations in a Furniture Item
Abstract
A sleep enhancing vibrating system is disclosed. The system includes a portable, after-market device that can be detachably mounted to a bed box spring or similar furniture frame. The system includes a variable speed motor operatively connected to a rotating weight longitudinal arm; the arm supports interchangeable weights to adjust vibration intensity. A speed control controller, in the form of a physical device or a mobile application, enables users to adjust the frequency of vibrations. The system can include a safety cage for providing protection to the motor and the arm. The mobile application also provides the ability to receive feedback and schedule the operation of the system. Different mounting brackets can be included for attaching the system to different types of bed frames and other furniture frames.
