Abstract

An easy to manipulate fan secures to a window and can be moved into and out of a window opening, thereby allowing the full use of the window. A fan housing which consists of one or more fans and fan controls has a top and bottom, which are adjustably connected to adjustable articulating arms. The articulating arms are composed of one or more segments that are rotatably connected to each other. The opposite ends of the articulating arms are adjustably connected to the rails. Connected to the back side of the rails is at least one suction cup. The suction cups can be used to secure the invention to a window pane. The articulating arms allow the fan housing to swing in and out of a window opening, while at the same time allowing a user to lock and close the window without having to remove the fan first.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What I claim is:

. A window fan, consisting of: a fan housing, where the fan housing houses at least one fan, a top articulating arm attached at a first top articulating arm end to a fan housing top section, a bottom articulating arm attached at a first bottom articulating arm end to a fan housing bottom section, a top rail rotatably and adjustably attached to a second top articulating arm end, a bottom rail rotatably and adjustably attached at a second bottom articulating arm end, where each of the top rail and the bottom rail is attached to a solid structure.

. The window fan of claim 1 , where the solid structure is a wall.

. The window fan of claim 1 , where the solid structure is a window frame.

. The window fan of claim 1 where the top rail and the bottom rail are attached to the wall by one or more suction cups.

. The window fan of claim 1 where the top rail and the bottom rail are attached to the wall by one or more mechanical fasteners.

. The window fan of claim 1 where the top rail and the bottom rail are attached to the wall by one or more adhesives.

. The window fan of claim 1 , where the fan housing additionally comprises one more expansion wings.

. The window fan of claim 1 , where the top articulating arm has two or more top articulating sections, and where the bottom articulating arm has two or more bottom articulating sections.

. A window fan comprising: a fan housing configured to be placed on a window pane, two articulating arms rotatably and adjustably coupled to the fan housing, two rails rotatably and adjustably coupled to the opposite end of the articulating arm, and two or more suction cups fixed to the back of the rails configured to be attached to the window pane.

. The window fan of claim 9 , wherein the fan housing, articulating arms and rails provide an adjustable window fan that can allow for full use of the window including opening, closing and locking.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising a single articulating arm and rail.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising two or more rails with multiple articulating arm mounting points.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising articulating arms with multiple segments and pivots.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising articulating arms that slide and extend linearly.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising one or more additional rail segments.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising one or more additional suction cups.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising one or more rails that mechanically fasten to the window and/or window frame.

. The window fan of claim 9 , further comprising an omni directional connection to the fan housing.

. A method of removably installing a window fan, comprising a first step of obtaining a window fan, wherein the window fan consists: a fan housing, where the fan housing houses at least one fan, a top articulating arm attached at a first top articulating arm end to a fan housing top section, a bottom articulating arm attached at a first bottom articulating arm end to a fan housing bottom section, a top rail rotatably and adjustably attached to a second top articulating arm end, a bottom rail rotatably and adjustably attached at a second bottom articulating arm end, where each of the top rail and the bottom rail is attached to a wall, and a second step of attaching the bottom rail and the top rail to a window frame by an attachment device.

. The method of claim 17 , where the attachment device is selected from thee group consisting of suction cups, mechanical fasteners and adhesives.
