Abstract

Provided is a lubricant including a deep eutectic solvent consisting of a hydrogen bond acceptor and a hydrogen bond donor, the lubricant having a halogen atom content of 0.1% by mass or less. The lubricant provided contains a carbon-neutral component, and shows a favorable lubricating property and low corrosiveness to metals.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A lubricant, comprising:
a deep eutectic solvent consisting of a hydrogen bond acceptor and a hydrogen bond donor, wherein the lubricant has a halogen atom content of 0.1% by mass or less.

2 . The lubricant according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen bond acceptor includes betaine.

3 . The lubricant according to claim 2 , wherein the betaine has Formula (1)

wherein R 1 to R 3 are each independently a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and n is an integer of 1 to 3.

4 . The lubricant according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor includes at least one or more selected from an alcohol, a carboxylic acid, and a nitrogen-containing compound.

5 . The lubricant according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor includes glycerin or malic acid.

6 . The lubricant according to claim 1 , further comprising:
at least one or more selected from the group consisting of a mineral oil and a synthetic oil.

7 . The lubricant according to claim 1 , wherein the deep eutectic solvent is at 50% by mass or more with respect to a total amount of the lubricant.

8 . The lubricant according to claim 1 , wherein a content of the hydrogen bond acceptor with respect to a total amount of the lubricant is in a range of 25 to 75% by mass, and a content of the hydrogen bond donor with respect to the total amount of the lubricant is in a range of 25 to 75% by mass.

9 . The lubricant according to claim 1 , further comprising:
 a lubricant additive.

10 . A method for lubrication, using comprising:
applying the lubricant of claim 1 for lubrication.

11 . A method for producing the lubricant of claim 1 , comprising:
mixing the hydrogen bond acceptor with the hydrogen bond donor such that the deep eutectic solvent is obtained.

12 . The method for producing the lubricant according to claim 11 , further comprising:
mixing a lubricant additive at least one of a time during the mixing of the hydrogen bond acceptor with the hydrogen bond donor and a time after the mixing of the hydrogen bond acceptor with the hydrogen bond donor.

13 . The lubricant according to claim 2 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor includes at least one selected from an alcohol, a carboxylic acid, and a nitrogen-containing compound.

14 . The lubricant according to claim 2 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor includes glycerin or malic acid.

15 . The lubricant according to claim 2 , further comprising:
at least one selected from the group consisting of a mineral oil and a synthetic oil.

16 . The lubricant according to claim 2 , wherein the deep eutectic solvent is at 50% by mass or more with respect to a total amount of the lubricant.

17 . The lubricant according to claim 2 , wherein a content of the hydrogen bond acceptor with respect to a total amount of the lubricant is in a range of 25 to 75% by mass, and a content of the hydrogen bond donor with respect to the total amount of the lubricant is in a range of 25 to 75% by mass.

18 . The lubricant according to claim 2 , further comprising:
 a lubricant additive.

19 . The lubricant according to claim 3 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor includes at least one selected from an alcohol, a carboxylic acid, and a nitrogen-containing compound.

20 . The lubricant according to claim 3 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor includes glycerin or malic acid.
