Apparatuses for providing privacy in garments

Abstract

This invention discloses a privacy insert apparatus and a storage apparatus to be used in tandem with the privacy insert apparatus. The intended application of such apparatuses is to improve the privacy features of garments. The insert privacy apparatus may be comprised of a silicone, which is produced by pouring a liquid silicone into a pre-made mold. The material of the storage apparatus may comprise the properties of durability, elasticity, quick-dry, ultraviolet resistance, or chlorine resistance and may be held together by polyester, nylon, or cotton thread. The aforementioned apparatuses provide improvements on durability and permeability.

A privacy insert apparatus comprising silicone, wherein the privacy insert apparatus has a wider front-facing portion and thinner back-facing portion, wherein the wider front-facing portion of the privacy insert apparatus extends to conceal anatomical lines, and wherein the back-facing portion decreases in width approaching the edges. 
     
     
         2 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the silicone is a medical grade silicone. 
     
     
         3 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claims 1 , wherein forming the shape and size of the privacy insert apparatus comprises pouring a liquid silicone into a pre-made mold. 
     
     
         4 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein the liquid silicone is formed by mixing a silicone base material with a crosslinker, subsequently adding catalysts and additives to create a final mixture, and stirring the final mixture until the final mixture is homogeneous. 
     
     
         5 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein the liquid silicone is a medical grade liquid silicone, wherein the medical grade liquid silicone is formed by mixing a silicone base material with a crosslinker, subsequently adding catalysts and additives to create a final mixture, and stirring and heating the final mixture until the final mixture is homogeneous. 
     
     
         6 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the silicone has a smooth surface. 
     
     
         7 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the privacy insert apparatus is comprised of silicone and one of thermoplastic polyurethane, thermoplastic copolyester, styrenic block copolymer, polyether block amide, polyurethane, liquid silicone rubber, neoprene, polyvinyl chloride, or nitrile. 
     
     
         8 . The privacy insert of  claim 1 , wherein the middle of the privacy insert apparatus is the thickest portion, and wherein the edges taper out and become thinner. 
     
     
         9 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the middle portion of the privacy insert apparatus has a thickness of between about 1.0 mm and about 6.0 mm. 
     
     
         10 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the edges of the privacy insert apparatus have a thickness of between about 0.2 mm and about 3.0 mm. 
     
     
         11 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the length of the privacy insert apparatus is between about 7.6 cm and about 17.7 cm. 
     
     
         12 . The privacy insert apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the width of the privacy insert apparatus is between about 2.5 cm and about 12.7 cm. 
     
     
         13 . A storage apparatus used for the storage of a privacy insert apparatus. 
     
     
         14 . The storage apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the material of the storage apparatus may comprise nylon, polyester, elastane, polybutylene terephthalate, neoprene, power mesh, or cotton. 
     
     
         15 . The storage apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the material of the storage apparatus may comprise the properties of durability, elasticity, quick-dry, ultraviolet resistance, or chlorine resistance. 
     
     
         16 . The storage apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the storage apparatus may include gaps in the fastening at the bottom and along the sides, gaps in the fastening along the sides, or gaps in the fastening at the bottom. 
     
     
         17 . The storage apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the storage apparatus is held together by polyester, nylon, or cotton thread. 
     
     
         18 . The storage apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the length of the storage apparatus is between about 7.62 cm and about 22.86 cm. 
     
     
         19 . The storage apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the width of the storage apparatus is between about 5.08 cm and about 17.78 cm.
