Abstract

IssueTo make available clothing that supports the wearer's muscles to enable capacity for and flexibility in movement to be improved in situations such as during sports, during heavy lifting, or being under nursing care.Resolution MeansClothing 100 involving the present invention is furnished with an upper-body piece 10 for covering at least a portion of the upper half of the body, and an upper-body support unit 20 formed on the upper-body piece 10. The upper-body support unit 20 includes an upper-body first support section 21 situated in sites following at least a portion of the psoas major muscles (901), an upper-body second support section 22 situated in sites following the supraspinatus muscles (903), and an upper-body third support section 23 situated in sites following the teres major muscles (904).

         28 . Clothing for covering a body of a wearer, the clothing comprising:
 an upper-body piece for covering at least a portion of an upper half of the body; and   an upper-body support unit on the upper-body piece,   wherein the upper-body support unit includes an upper-body first support unit including an upper-body first support section and an upper-body second support section,   
       wherein the upper-body first support section extends from a bottom region of the upper-body piece upwardly and laterally and connects to the upper-body second support section at a connection point, 
       wherein the upper-body second support section is in a mirror-symmetrical geometry with the upper-body first support section, and 
       wherein the upper-body piece does not include a support unit above the connection point on a front of the clothing. 
     
     
         29 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein the upper-body support unit is on the front of the upper-body piece. 
     
     
         30 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein the upper-body support unit is on a midsection area of the upper-body piece. 
     
     
         31 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein a width of the upper-body first support section and a width of the upper-body second support section are each not greater than 50 mm. 
     
     
         32 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein a width of the upper-body first support section and a width of the upper-body second support section are each in a range between 1 mm and 25 mm. 
     
     
         33 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein the upper-body first support section and the upper-body second support form a V-shape. 
     
     
         34 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein the upper-body support unit includes a taping medium affixed to at least either a front side or a rear side of the upper-body piece. 
     
     
         35 . The clothing set forth in  claim 34 , wherein the taping medium is an adhesive tape having a heat-activated adhesive. 
     
     
         36 . The clothing set forth in  claim 35 , wherein the adhesive tape is bonded to the rear side of the upper-body piece by heating, and
 wherein the adhesive tape is anchored to the upper-body piece by being sewn with thread.   
     
     
         37 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein the upper-body support unit is constituted integrally with material constituting the upper-body piece. 
     
     
         38 . The clothing set forth in  claim 28 , wherein the upper-body piece is a T-shirt. 
     
     
         39 . Clothing for covering a body of a wearer, the clothing comprising:
 an upper-body piece for covering at least a portion of an upper half of the body;   a lower-body piece for covering at least a portion of a lower half of the body;   an upper-body support unit on the upper-body piece; and   a lower-body support unit on the lower-body piece,
 wherein the upper-body support unit includes an upper-body first support unit including an upper-body first support section and an upper-body second support section, 
   wherein the upper-body first support section extends from a bottom region of the upper-body piece upwardly and laterally and connects to the upper-body second support section at a connection point,   wherein the upper-body second support section is in a mirror-symmetrical geometry with the upper-body first support section, and   wherein the upper-body piece does not include a support unit above the connection point on a front of the clothing.   
     
     
         40 . The clothing set forth in  claim 39 , wherein the upper-body support unit is on a front side of the upper-body piece. 
     
     
         41 . The clothing set forth in  claim 39 , wherein the upper-body support unit is on a midsection area of the upper-body piece. 
     
     
         42 . The clothing set forth in  claim 39 , wherein the lower-body support unit includes a lower-body first support section and a lower-body second support section forming a V-shape. 
     
     
         43 . The clothing set forth in  claim 42 , wherein the lower-body first support section is configured to connect to the upper-body first support section. 
     
     
         44 . The clothing set forth in  claim 43 , wherein the lower body support unit includes a lower-body third support section and a lower-body fourth support section forming a second V-shape, and
 wherein the lower-body third support section is configured to connect to the upper-body second support section.   
     
     
         45 . The clothing set forth in  claim 39 , wherein the upper-body support unit includes a taping medium affixed to at least either a front side or a rear side of the upper-body piece. 
     
     
         46 . The clothing set forth in  claim 45 , wherein the taping medium is bonded to the rear side of the upper-body piece by heating,
 wherein the taping medium is anchored to the upper-body piece by being sewn with thread.   
     
     
         47 . An upper-body piece for covering at least a portion of an upper half of a body of a wearer, the upper-body piece comprising:
 an upper-body support unit on the upper-body piece,   wherein the upper-body support unit includes an upper-body first support unit including an upper-body first support section and an upper-body second support section,   
       wherein the upper-body first support section extends from a bottom region of the upper-body piece upwardly and laterally and connects to the upper-body second support section at a connection point, 
       wherein the upper-body second support section is in a mirror-symmetrical geometry with the upper-body first support section, and 
       wherein the upper-body piece does not include a support unit above the connection point on a front of the upper-body piece.
