Separable garment for maintaining secure duty belts with integrated stretchable straps for controlled retraction

Abstract

Adaptable garments, such as trousers, incorporating an inseam zipper mechanism and stretchable straps to facilitate quick access and re-dressing while maintaining structural support. The garments include an upper portion with a waistband and belt loops and a lower portion with leg sections. A first zipper mechanism along the inseam of the lower portion is operable via a single or double zipper slider for unidirectional or bidirectional opening. One or more stretchable straps are secured between the upper and lower portions, allowing controlled retraction of the fabric when the zipper is disengaged. In some embodiments, a secondary zipper is integrated along out-seams, mid-seams, or horizontal regions, enabling modular interchangeability of the lower portion. The garment may include a removable fabric panel to expose selected areas for restroom use for frontline workers, elderly individuals, and outdoor professionals requiring uninterrupted belt security and rapid accessibility.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An article of clothing comprising:
 an upper portion configured to be secured around a waist of a wearer, the upper portion including a waistband and a plurality of belt loops attached to the waistband;   a lower portion extending downward from the upper portion, the lower portion including a first leg portion and a second leg portion;   a first zipper mechanism comprises an inseam zipper line positioned along an inseam of the lower portion, the first zipper mechanism including a first zipper track extending from a first end positioned above a knee region of the first leg portion to a second end positioned above a knee region of the second leg portion, and a zipper slider configured to engage and disengage the first zipper mechanism along the inseam, allowing selective opening of the lower portion; and   one or more stretchable straps positioned internally within the article of clothing, each stretchable strap comprising:
 a. a first attachment point secured to a fabric of the lower portion near a top region of the first zipper mechanism; 
 b. a second attachment point secured to the upper portion near the waistband; and 
 c. a flexible and retractable material configured to pull the fabric of the lower portion upward near the top region of the first zipper mechanism when the first zipper mechanism is disengaged. 
   
     
     
         2 . The article of clothing of  claim 1 , further comprising a draw-line mechanism connected to the one or more stretchable straps, the draw-line mechanism manually operable to adjust a degree of retraction of the fabric of the lower portion near the top region of the first zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         3 . The article of clothing of  claim 1 , wherein the first zipper mechanism further comprises a cover flap concealing the first zipper track for aesthetic and protective purposes. 
     
     
         4 . The article of clothing of  claim 1 , further comprising a second zipper mechanism including a first out-seam zipper line extending along an out-seam of the first leg portion, a second out-seam zipper line extending along an out-seam of the second leg portion, and a third zipper line positioned near an interface between the lower portion and the upper portion, wherein the third zipper line connects the first out-seam zipper line and second out-seam zipper line to form the second zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         5 . The article of clothing of  claim 4 , wherein the first out-seam zipper line extends from a point above the knee region of the first leg portion and runs upward along the out-seam of the first leg portion, the second out-seam zipper line extends from a point above the knee region of the second leg portion and runs upward along the out-seam of the second leg portion, and the third zipper line extends from the out-seam of the first leg portion to the out-seam of the second leg portion near the interface between the upper portion and the lower portion, connecting the first out-seam zipper line and the second out-seam zipper line to form the second zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         6 . The article of clothing of  claim 5 , wherein the second zipper mechanism further comprises a zipper slider configured to traverse along the first out-seam zipper line, the second out-seam zipper line, and the third zipper line, allowing selective engagement and disengagement of the second zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         7 . The article of clothing of  claim 5 , further comprising a back side fabric panel detachably secured to the lower portion via the second zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         8 . The article of clothing of  claim 7 , wherein disengaging the first zipper mechanism and the second zipper mechanism allows the back side fabric panel to hang onto the lower portion while remaining attached to the lower portion at the point above the knee region of the first leg portion and at the point above the knee region of the second leg portion. 
     
     
         9 . The article of clothing of  claim 8 , wherein the second zipper mechanism further comprises a first lower zipper line positioned above the knee region of the first leg portion and a second lower zipper line positioned above the knee region of the second leg portion, wherein the first lower zipper line is connected to the first out-seam zipper line at the point above the knee region of the first leg portion, and the second lower zipper line is connected to the second out-seam zipper line at the point above the knee region of the second leg portion, and wherein the first lower zipper line is connected to the second lower zipper line through the first zipper mechanism to form a looped zipper. 
     
     
         10 . The article of clothing of  claim 9 , wherein the looped zipper comprises a zipper slider configured to traverse along the first out-seam zipper line, the first lower zipper line, the inseam zipper line, the second lower zipper line, the second out-seam zipper line, and the third zipper line, allowing selective engagement and disengagement of the looped zipper. 
     
     
         11 . The article of clothing of  claim 10 , wherein the back side fabric panel of the lower portion remains attached and hangs at a predefined slider point of the zipper slider when the looped zipper is disengaged, preventing complete detachment of the back side fabric panel. 
     
     
         12 . The article of clothing of  claim 11 , wherein the predefined slider point is positioned at an uppermost region of the third zipper line, allowing the back side fabric panel to remain suspended when the looped zipper is disengaged. 
     
     
         13 . The article of clothing of  claim 11 , wherein the looped zipper is configured to allow complete removal of the back side fabric panel, enabling replacement with an alternative fabric panel. 
     
     
         14 . The article of clothing of  claim 9 , wherein the first out-seam zipper line and the second out-seam zipper line are spaced apart by a distance from respective out-seams in the first leg portion and the second leg portion, wherein the distance provides an alternative opening configuration. 
     
     
         15 . The article of clothing of  claim 4 , wherein the lower portion is detachably secured to the upper portion using a third zipper mechanism at the interface between the upper portion and the lower portion. 
     
     
         16 . The article of clothing of  claim 15 , wherein each of the one or more stretchable straps comprises a connecting point configured to disconnect the upper portion from the lower portion when the third zipper mechanism is disengaged, allowing separation of the upper portion and the lower portion. 
     
     
         17 . The article of clothing of  claim 4 , wherein the lower portion is fixedly secured to the upper portion via sewing at the interface between the upper portion and the lower portion. 
     
     
         18 . The article of clothing of  claim 1 , The article of clothing of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more stretchable straps are configured to retract automatically when the first zipper mechanism is disengaged causing the fabric of the lower portion near the top region of the first zipper mechanism to move upward. 
     
     
         19 . The article of clothing of  claim 1 , further comprises a zipper mechanism extending from a front fly region to a rear waistband region, allowing selective opening of the article of clothing along a straight zipper track. 
     
     
         20 . The article of clothing of  claim 1 , further comprises a zipper mechanism forming a shaped opening extending across a front side and a back side of the lower portion, wherein the zipper mechanism allows selective opening and closing of the shaped opening at an inseam region of the lower portion. 
     
     
         21 . A garment comprising:
 an upper portion configured to be secured around a waist of a wearer, the upper portion including a waistband and a plurality of belt loops;   a lower portion extending downward from the upper portion, the lower portion including a first leg portion and a second leg portion;   a first zipper mechanism positioned along an inseam of the lower portion, the first zipper mechanism including a first zipper track extending from a first end positioned above, at, or below a knee region of the first leg portion to a second end positioned above, at, or below a knee region of the second leg portion; and   a second zipper mechanism positioned along at least one out-seam of the lower portion, the second zipper mechanism including:
 a. a first out-seam zipper line extending along an out-seam of the first leg portion; 
 b. a second out-seam zipper line extending along an out-seam of the second leg portion; and 
 c. a third zipper line positioned below an interface between the upper portion and the lower portion, wherein the third zipper line connects the first out-seam zipper line and the second out-seam zipper line to form a second zipper track for the second zipper mechanism. 
   
     
     
         22 . The garment of  claim 21 , further comprising a first zipper slider configured to traverse along the first zipper track, allowing selective engagement and disengagement of the first zipper mechanism, and a second zipper slider configured to traverse along the second zipper track, allowing selective engagement and disengagement of the second zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         23 . The garment of  claim 21 , further comprising a back side fabric panel that is detachably secured to the lower portion via the first zipper mechanism and the second zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         24 . The garment of  claim 23 , wherein disengaging both the first zipper mechanism and the second zipper mechanism allows the back side fabric panel to hang onto the lower portion while remaining attached at both of: a point above, at, or below the knee region of the first leg portion and a point above, at, or below the knee region of the second leg portion. 
     
     
         25 . The garment of  claim 21 , wherein the second zipper mechanism further comprises a first lower zipper line positioned at a point above, at, or below the knee region of the first leg portion and a second lower zipper line positioned above, at, or below the knee region of the second leg portion. 
     
     
         26 . The garment of  claim 25 , wherein the first lower zipper line is connected to the first out-seam zipper line at the point above, at, or below the knee region of the first leg portion, and to the first zipper track of the first zipper mechanism at the first end positioned above, at, or below the knee region of the first leg portion; and wherein the second lower zipper line is connected to the second out-seam zipper line at the point above, at, or below the knee region of the second leg portion, and to the first zipper track of the first zipper mechanism at the second end positioned above, at, or below the knee region of the second leg portion, forming a continuous looped zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         27 . The garment of  claim 26 , wherein the continuous looped zipper mechanism further comprises a zipper slider configured to traverse along the first out-seam zipper line, the first lower zipper line, the first zipper track, the second lower zipper line, the second out-seam zipper line, and the third zipper line allowing selective engagement and disengagement of the continuous looped zipper mechanism. 
     
     
         28 . The garment of  claim 27 , further comprising a back side fabric panel that is detachably secured to the lower portion via the continuous looped zipper mechanism, wherein disengaging the continuous looped zipper mechanism allows the back side fabric panel to hang onto a predefined slider point of the zipper slider when the continuous looped zipper mechanism is disengaged, preventing complete detachment of the back side fabric panel. 
     
     
         29 . The garment of  claim 28 , wherein the back side fabric panel is detachable from the predefined slider point, enabling replacement with an alternative fabric panel. 
     
     
         30 . The garment of  claim 21 , further comprising a third zipper mechanism positioned at the interface between the upper portion and the lower portion, enabling complete detachment of the lower portion from the upper portion.
